The gyros here are tasty, but that isn't the main reason to go to Gyro City. You can get good gyros at other places. What sets this place apart and makes it a good experience is that the owners have good attention to detail and are very concerned with your dining experience. They do the little, considerate things. If I order a gyro salad to go, they are not going to put that hot meat on my cold greens until I get there. If I order fries to go, they are going to drop those fries when I get there and fry them while I am paying and as they are boxing up my other items so that they stay hot. That's the level of customer respect you just don't see.
These guys are awesome!! They hook me up every time I go there with the largest gyro I have ever had!! Quality product, great friendly service, and a great value!! For really good gyros this is the place!!
Make sure you are hungry before you order a gyro. We went for the first time and I was really pleasantly surprised at the amount of meat on the gyros. Most places we have tried have a few strips of meat and lots of shredded lettuce. This place LOADED the gyro with meat and there was just a little red onion, green leaf lettuce and a few slices of tomato. The gyro alone was only about $5. The fries were hot and fresh and a large portion. Nothing fancy about the place and the menu is very limited. There weren't many people staying there to eat but there were several coming in to pick up to-go orders. We will definitely go back when we need a gyro fix!
This is my go-to place to get a fix for Gyros. Its a small, basic eatery that serves up the best-tasting gyros I've ever had. Not only that, but the portions are very generous. The owners and servers are a little - ahem - gruff at times, but IMO, that's part of the charm of the place. The gyros are stuffed with meat, but if you are really hungry, get the gyro platter and you will not leave hungry - that is if you can finish it.
This is one of OKC's best kept secrets. It's affordable (cheap, even), delicious, and the portions are more than plentiful. I've eaten here twice after discovering this gem two weeks ago on Zomato. Both times I've gotten the gyro platter. It's simply loaded with meat, crisp romaine, fresh red onions, and tomatoes. The pita is average, but the meat is so good it's soon forgotten. It blends well with the meat, which has a richer and more robust flavor than the other gyros I've had in OKC. I've not asked, but I think they actually use lamb here. Al I know is it's wonderful, and they have a new repeat customer in me.

Visited Gyro City again, to see how well they were doing - and my review below, fortunately, still applies! The owners have not changed much to their recipe of creating tasty and successful Gyros! The flavors of the Gyros were definitely present, and you can see them slicing the meat in the metal turnstile that slowly cooks the lamb meat. Scrumptious and a recommended stop!

Gyros, Gyros, Gyros, Gyros, Gyros! Pentanostimo!. We went to Gyro City Cafe on a Saturday night. Upon entering, it was small but clean joint. The owner and the worker there were both tired, but they serviced us fine. We ordered just a single gyro sandwich and a baklava, coming to exactly $5.50. The gyro was delicious (plenty of meat!), and later, saw the authentic slow-turning cooking method that makes it famous, so authenticity points to Gyro City Cafe! The vegetables and tzatziki sauce were fresh, even if it was towards the end of the night. The baklava was sticky and sweet - which was good, and we left with nothing on our plate. A fan of gyros, this I have to admit was some of the better ones here - rivaling that of Athens Greek Restaurant in Bethany. The only issue I had was that it was not rolled up, but I can definitely believe that one can't roll that gyro up - they pile a lot of meat, so at the same time, more bang for your buck and can't complain.

Best lamb Greek Gyro I have ever had. Very generous portion sizes. My husband and I actually shared the gyro because it was such large servings. Excellent flavor. Will definitely tell all my friends about this place. So yummy!
Yes!!!. These gyros are huge and delicious. My favorite part though? You can't beat the value. Blows Gyros Etc. around the corner out of the water!!! Thank you Gyro City Cafe!
Amazing resturant. The best gyro in the world
We have ordered out from here many times. We always get the gyros with extra tzatziki sauce and the baklava. The gyros are so big, we have to split them. The sauce is the best I have ever had. True the staff is not very friendly and the decor isn't great, But I would rather have great food. After all, I'm not going there to make new friends and we take it home, so what really matters?? The FOOD!!
Definitely no frills here! Upon walking in to the empty restaurant around 7:30 on a Tuesday evening I found two guys sitting on recliners watching tv near the back of the place. One slowly got up and walked to the front counter with a somewhat tired/high/confused look on his face. We ordered our food and took a seat not knowing what to expect. After about a 10 minute wait our gyro platters arrived at our table. The plates were piled with gyro meat, salad & pita bread. Everything tasted great! We will return if we are in the area!
Really good place for gyros. They pile on the meat. Worth more than they charge. Ask for more cucumber sauce, you'll need an extra cup. Leave a tip.
When you are up at the very top of NWE this little gem sits quietly among nail salons and insurance companies.
This is the best value meal in OKC for Gyros. The service is kind and generous with portions. The meal is fresh, hot and cooked perfectly. You will not be able to pick this Gyro up with your hands. Well worth the traffic to go. Enjoy.
Great people, great gyro meat, and great portions.
The menu is limited, but that has been a plus for me. You know exactly what you’re getting, you can be sure that it’s going to be a great meal.

Stopped and got gyro platter for lunch and the leftovers were enough to feed 2 more for dinner. It was delicious! (Order extra bread for all the leftover meat)
I love a great hole in the wall restaurant. And Gyro City Cafe is one of the best I've experienced. Not only is the gyro one of the best I've eaten outside of Europe, the price is unbeatable. A large gyro with fries, tzatziki sauce and a drink runs $10. That's it! You need to eat your next meal out right here. You won't regret it!
Absolutely a great place for lunch (or dinner). I’ve been coming her for years nothing beats a Gyro & fries!
Such a great little place. Large portions. Budget friendly. Better than even the higher cost places. Everything's fresh. It is a hole in the wall, don't come here for appearances, come here for the food.
Great place, honestly, the food here was filling and amazing. I went here for the first time, and the amount of meat on the Gyros was crazy, our normal place was nowhere near as good. The one issue I had was the bathroom, however the fixtures weren't bad, it just triggered my germaphobia. All in all I'd say this is a great dining experience and I will be returning!
The atmosphere doesn't matter when the gyros taste as good as these. Dont let the unassuming outside view change your mind about eating here.
