Caffe Pranzo

Great place to eat. I was taken here for lunch during Real Estate class. The chef personally came out and asked what I wanted. I didn't order directly from the menu. He asked what pasta I wanted and what veggies etc. I wanted and he made it. Homemade pasta and the pizza is great to. I will be going back soon.

Great food, charming staff, mediocre service. I had the bruschetta, which was excellent, flavorful, and perfectly textured. The tomato bisque was smooth and creamy, with fantastic seasoning. The ceasar salad was fresh and properly prepared, but not exceptional. The baked tortellini, on the other hand, was amazing, a big portion, plenty of sauce, cheese, pepperoni and ham. Absolutely fantastic. The lasagna was good, tasty and well prepared, with more fennel than I was expecting. Lastly, the New York Style cheesecake was amazing, and should not be missed. Service was slow, and forgetful, but very friendly and pleasant otherwise. I definitely suggest this place to anyone.

The food is top notch. Here is my meal in reverse. They have this chocolate desert (not talking about the cake) that is like the best part of brownies, fudge, and icing combined on an Oreo crust! So rich and and delicious you can't help but stop and savor every bite. Their seafood risotto is creamy and has a good helping of scallops. The shrimp in it was perfectly cooked to have that slight sort of grilled crust on the outside but amazingly juicy and soft on the inside. The fried ravioli appetizer was just the right baked and dry fry crust, with a moist ravioli inside filled with thick tasty cheese. Ranked in my top two Italian restaurants ever.
