I visit every time I am in town, this trip I ate there twice! I am a Brit and was raised eating Indian food. I have lived in the US for 20 years and I must say that I think this is the best Indian I have found in all that time - and in OKC of all places! The lamb curry is spectacular! I also really like the chili chicken dish - it is unique, I have never had anything like it elsewhere. Also love the spinach pakora. It's all good but those are my favorites. Owners are friendly. Environment is basic but warm and welcoming. This is my favorite place to go in OKC and I am here usually five or six times a year.
Taj is the restaurant I want to be buried in. I am seriously considering infiltrating the kitchen for that carrot halwa recipe. I have never been disappointed. I don’t know if the food is or isn’t authentic...I just know it’s the best I’ve ever had.
So many vegan options. Probably 90% of the buffet was vegan and clearly marked. I got 1 full plate from one side of the buffet and another full plate from the other side. Loved everything. Very friendly staff as well. Very calm and quiet atmosphere. I can actually have a conversation without hollering.

The buffet style is great! Yet tasteful and not overwhelming.

You know it's going to be good by the smell as soon as you walk in! We ordered the buffet plus the garlic nan bread and hot chai tea. Everything we tried was AMAZING but the chicken tiki masala was my absolute favorite! My husband doesn't usually eat Indian food but he went back 2 times for more chili chicken. The service was outstanding and when you order the chai tea the chef even comes out to pour it which was a show in itself.I can't wait to bring my mom and sister.
We had been out doing Halloween activities and wanted to eat real authentic India food. This place was it!!! We walked inside and was instantly greeted with a smile and a booth. My baby and I are vegan so it was a perfect menu and the buffet had fresh hot food.
We love it here!!
The women waiting on us were so kind, sweet and the atmosphere alone made the place feel like home.
We will be coming back soon.

The food & family atmosphere are INCREDIBLE! It was my first time trying Indian cuisine, and it BLEW ME AWAY!! Cannot wait to go back!!

Delicious food! Everything we tried at the buffet was so good. Not the prettiest inside but who cares as long as the food is good. Every worker we encountered was great! We will definitely be back.

I am writing this review sitting in the parking lot after having eaten the best Indian food I have ever tasted. Everything about this meal was decadent, from the delicious, soft, garlic tandoori naan, to the perfectly textured and flavored basmati rice. The overarching star-of-the-show was the Lamb Chili Fry. I will say, hands down this is the best lamb fry I have ever had the absolute pleasure of eating! It was not only the food that made this establishment shine, though. Every single member of the staff here were so friendly during my visit and made me feel as if I sat down to eat dinner with family. Thank you to the staff of Taj for making this meal a memorable one! I will DEFINITELY be returning.
UPDATE: I just came back to see if the Lamb Chili Fry is really as good as I thought. It definitely is!!! Perfectly seasoned, perfectly spicy. I couldn’t even wait to the end of the meal to update my review! If anyone ever asks me what to do in OKC, the first thing I’ll tell them is “You HAVE to eat at Taj”! I would eat here every day if I could!
i went back three times! everything is delicious. there’s so many vegetarian options which is amazing. even though i’m full i don’t have a super heavy feeling. definitely going to start coming all the time!
