Incredible. As good and even better than top rated restaurants on island. Staff are professional and enthusiastic about their work. Cant say that about staff at restaurants on the main street. The food is varied and the flavor is not hidden by frying. Candice our server was especially attentive.

First time here. The waiter was very helpful pointing out the vegetarian dishes that can be made vegan. I had the Jamaican Rasta Pasta, minus cheese. My husband had Jerk Pork and our friend had the Oxtail. They each had a beer as well. Everyone enjoyed their meal and had left overs to take home. They use plastic to go containers. They give out plastic straws. In the near future those one time use plastic items will be banned here. Brazil and a few other countries have already banned them.
Overall we enjoyed our visit and will be back to try other dishes.

My wife and I found our new favorite Okemos/Haslett location for lunch and dinner. The food was absolutely amazing and great portion sizes. I can’t speak highly enough to how good it was.

Better) I'm here to correct the review; My husband didn't realize he order the wrong item on the menu; so when I went to return the food & to get a refund the chef/ owner was kind enough to show and to explain to me how to order for my husband next time; he gave me my refund and fix the correct dish he was looking for; I actually took the time to steal a taste and I regret I didn't order it for my self 😂the beans & rice he must of added more seasonings to it cause my previous review lol ; I will ask questions before ordering especially to a place I never been before!

Yummy, emperor-sized portions and good service. Wish the fish was ocean-friendly, but Kingston scored big with no-plastic bags and ecofriendly boxes. Will come back to explore more of the menu, and look for dishes with more fruits&veggies on the side. Yay!

I was overly impressed with everything about this restaurant. The food was all very good, service was fast, the owner and head chef came out and spoke with us (and he was hilarious!). My wife is celiac and he went out of his way to make sure everything we ordered was gluten free. We even tried to order something that wasn't and he came up with a custom option on the fly to accommodate it. The interior design was awesome also, it looked much nicer inside than I had expected.

Wife and I had the shrimp and scallops Jamaican scampi and the coconut curry chicken. Both were amazing. Staff was excellent. Will definitely go back. Don't skip a red stripe with your meal... ;-)

This is my favorite restaurant in Lansing! The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is incredibly friendly! The owner is so kind! The prices are really affordable! I've had Jamaican food in Atlanta, Chicago and San Francisco and this outshines them all.The stuffed mushrooms and the vegetarian patties are my favorite!

If you like Jamaican food or want to try something new, you should pay a visit to this restaurant. The food is excellent. The staff were not only friendly, they were also knowledgeable on the cuisine. Chef Shawn is amazing. I highly recommend Kingston Kitchen. We will definitely be back.
