I have always enjoyed the atmosphere and food and the greenery! If your looking for something different, local and a fun garden atmosphere with a huge gift shop to browse before or after dinner than this is the place! Being a local from Ogden the greenery at rainbow gardens reminds me of warm holidays and family gatherings! Plus it’s the only place to get a warm Mormon muffin!
What a cute restaurant. The menu and drink options are great. I had the Ahh-Vocado sandwich that came with chips and watermelon. The sandwich was huge and very tasty. Waiter and register staff were very friendly. I gave atmosphere 3 stars because the restaurant and entire building needs attention. Needs a deep cleaning and a huge face-lift.
We really enjoyed our lunch. The burger and the soup for the kids was delicious. Also the fresh salad from the salad bar was wonderful. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly. We certainly return and recommend the famous Mormon muffins.
Got to get you some Mormon Muffins! The butter was more like icing, but no complaints here. Turkey pesto sandwich was nice and the daily special shrimp Alfredo was good. Atmosphere is definitely unique and I love it is located at the mouth of the canyon. I would for sure drop by another time for some muffins.
We found this place on a Google search while driving through, and I'm so glad that we did! The location, right at the mouth of the Ogden Canyon, was so beautiful. The atmosphere was perfect with actual, live greenery everywhere. The halls leading into the restaurant felt like visiting a museum with historical photographs of the area and art pieces. When I first read about Mormon Muffins, I'll admit that I scoffed a bit. But, there was an online coupon so we decided to try them. YUM. The texture and flavor were dreamy and they were HUGE. I almost bought a batch to take home. I'll admit that I wasn't blown away by the selection at the salad bar, so we didn't order anything from it, but everything we did order was delicious and the portions were generous. My daughters enjoyed their kid's meals and were very full. My husband loved his Cobb Salad and my Broccoli Stuffed Spud was enormous and so tasty. They must use Idaho potatoes. The next time we're driving through Ogden, we plan on stopping by again.
I had the chicken Alfredo and my grandma got the small crab salad. She really enjoyed her salad and I loved my Alfredo. The sauce was flavorful and a good consistency. Not too thick or thin. The Kona beer was delicious as well. You can’t go wrong coming here. The mormon muffins are to die for with the honey butter. All in all Great service, delicious food, & lots of shopping after with all the neat things they sell. 10/10 I will forever come here.
Great muffins. Hand made meals gets busy worth the wait. Cheesecake is handmade and the best in ogden
Entering this restaurant & gift shop is liking stepping back in time, from the decor to the menu. The pink bathrooms remind me of my Grandma's bathroom when I was little.
We had the best waitress (Tanna) who gave us such good recommendations! I was skeptical to try the famous Mormon Muffins because they are bran muffins with walnuts (and I don't like either). They really are as good as everyone says. They are so different from any other muffin you have had. Dip them in the honey butter & they make for a great treat! I think they would be a great breakfast.
We took Tanna's recommendation for our meals. The Marco polo (English muffins, sliced ham & turkey covered in broccoli & hollandaise sauce) it was so different than anything I've ever had at a restaurant. I highly recommend it. My husband got the Chili Verde Enchiladas and loved it.
For dessert we tried the Carmel Apple pie that my husband said is now his very favorite pie!
I really liked the gift shop. There are a lot of local foods & Utah's Own products.
Super cute place! I had the Chile verde (cheese) enchiladas for about $14. Very cheesy, Chile verde was flavorful but coulda been more meaty, I also tried their Mormon Muffins - delicious but not really worth the price ($3 something for one). I hear they used to be bigger. The honey butter was also delicious. We were seated in the lanai area, it had a weird smell - not quite musty, but maybe a bit dank. Other than that the staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived at 11 when they opened and were seated promptly but the place got rather busy so plan accordingly.
It was still much the same, though I haven't eaten here in probably 10 years.
The waiters were good and attentive, all good there. The atmosphere seemed dated. But mostly, the prices have been raised a LOT! The portions were much smaller than I remember them. The Carmel apple pie was still the best anywhere!
