Im stationed on ft Meade and also was stationed in Hawaii...this is by far the best place to get Kalbi and sushi...hands down! And service and decor is always immaculate : )
Been here many times, sushi is the best around. Nice atmosphere, staff is always friendly and accommodating. The Chirashi is my favorite and arguably the best raw sushi deal for your money. Also try the Kani salad.
I'm not crazy about Japanese food, and I don't eat sushi (I've had it a few times, the Japanese sushi is better than Korean, but still, meh). However, my wife likes it A LOT. I do like to eat the pork cutlets, it is consistently good and with rice extremely filling. Even our picky kids like this place. We all leave fat and happy. I wish it were cheaper. Hell, I wish it were free. But I've eaten food that tasted like a sock filled with diapers (imagining, not experienced), so in that light, this place RAWKS!
This place is AWESOME! My husband and I love to sit up on the platform where you're sitting on the floor with your feet "underground". Peaceful ambiance, delicious food, great service.
Very peaceful and romantic enviroment with amazing food!!! Abit expensive, but worth every cent!!! This place puts others to shame!!!!
Great local spot for quality sushi. Not the cheapest, but a good choice if you don't feel like driving to Joss in Annapolis.
Best Sushi I have had in Maryland. It is real Japanese resturaunt, not Korean, not neo-American.
We got takeout from this place for mother's day. I just have to say we were impressed with the quality, especially because they were absolutely swamped at the time!
I got the "Hana's Splendid Roll" and my wife got the "Lobster Roll." Both were delicious. I bit pricey for the amount we got (about $30 for both rolls, see pictures), but it was high quality.
We also got takeout steak hibachi with rice and salad. Both were great.
Our hunger for good Japanese food was satiated!
Unique Japanese experience especially, with the submerged sit down (take your foot gear off) style dining. Also, great manager/owner and definitely the sushi chef makes / creates a wonderful & fresh treat in the original Japanese fashion. Very creative! Only (very minor) critique - server smile some more!

Pleasant atmosphere, fast and attentive service. Food was delivered promptly. My mom and I both love the Pink Lady roll. The Pho Noodle soup comes out in a huge bowl and is amazing.
