Benito's Pizza Cafe

I give this a 5 stars all around. I'm surprised there was only 1 person on a Saturday night but it was perfect because we had the kiddos with us. We went to have pizza and ended up getting a couple drinks and it was great! Food was good, drinks were excellent, and the price was very, very good. Not overpriced at ALL. I kinda don't want to say how great it is so it doesn't get too busy, but it deserves it!

We looked up the menu online and placed an order to go. They were very kind on the phone as well as in the restaurant. They had lots of options for pizza, pasta and more. So even my picky kids found something they liked. The pizza was delicious and my son had pasta and said it was good. We also tried the cinnamon bread, it was great too. We will definitely go back again and again!

I was out walking my dog along mission ave this evening , I'm a senior over 65, It was unseasonably warm tonight so I stopped at Dairy Queen for a cone to cool down unfortunately all seats outside of the dairy Queen were taken. so i noticed about 25 empty stacked chairs at Benito's not a soul there. the young waitress was quick to inform me those chairs were for Benito customers only so i politely returned the chair and went on my way. I guess Benito's is not only customerless but not pro senior citizens either I say keep your chairs and your business I will not ever patronize this establishment trust me

This place has been here for over a year and since it was still in business after COVID, we gave it a shot. The manager took our order and seemed a bit bothered that we disturbed his reading time. We were the only customers and we were told it would be a 15 minute wait for our food. Not bad at all, and the food was ready in the time quoted. We got the portabello pizza, but we were NOT prepared for the pizza to leak all over our clothes and the car. The mushrooms were cut into massive chunks and the pizza came out watery. The mushroom chunks didn't cook completely, so they were a bit tougher to get through. We also got the Italian oven baked sandwich. It was ok. Didn't expect chunks of white onion, or the lettuce and tomatoes to be basically completely cooked. The spicy toasted ravioli was very good... not at all spicy, but tasted good and was properly cooked. Overall, the quality and price are ok, but the assembly/execution needs work. If you are from Oceanside and you've eaten at Two Brothers from Italy, don't waste your time or money here. You will be disappointed. If you are a tourist who is wanting some midwestern comfort food, go for it.
