Adorable little cafe. We had the crab cakes, the shrimp and crab melt, the chicken bacon melt. The apple Chantilly pesto was delicious and the sourdough bread had the most amazing cooked cheesey crust on it. Such great flavor in everything we had. I highly recommend this cute little cafe when in Oceanside!

We are never disappointed at the Blue Agate. The food is fresh and delicious. The seafood chowder and fish and chips are always good. The staff is friendly. Being able to look out at the ocean is an added benefit.

The donut was delicious! Get them fast as they were out when we decided to take more for the road. The food was delicious, nothing fancy, but delicious. The only issue was that one of the dishes was served on a flimsy frisbee type plate that had holes in it. So, when you tried to fork the potatoes, you punched through the parchment paper and you had a hole in your plate. That was only with the burrito, the other meals had regular plates. If I were the restaurant, I'd 86 the frisbee plates. The food took a bit longer than I'd usually like but it was a busy Sunday morning and it wasn't exceptionally long. Crab cake benedict was great, too!

The Blue Agate Cafe is amazing. Looking at it you would never expect the food to be this good. Every member of our party of 4 loved the food. All of us had a bowl of the chowder which was the best I've ever had. I had the chicken bacon melt which was delicious. The other people had fish and chips and fish tacos. The atmosphere was good with lots of outdoor seating which we used as the weather was nice, but the inside is a little small and there is only a single bathroom for everyone. And parking can be an issue, but these things are minor. I will definitely return when in that area.

I was in Central Oregon for work and drove over to Oceanside to see the coast. I happened upon this little cafe and decided to have breakfast. I believe the dish I had was the Pacific Seafood scramble and it was outstanding. Eggs mixed with shrimp, crab, and other good stuff. The service was great, and the view is exceptional. Highly recommend!

This is an awesome place just at the front of the parking lot in oceanside. Great service and food. We had veggie sandwiches and fish & chips with some salad. All were good and fresh but special call out for the veggie sandwich, it was different probably because of the sauce and tasted great, highly recommend, just that parking can be challenging

Delicious and fresh tasting seafood! We called 20 minutes ahead on a Sunday morning to get a table for 8 and were able to be seated immediately when we arrived. Parking was difficult to find so keep that in mind if visiting on a weekend. Food took a bit to come out since it was a busy morning but was very good!

A very laid-back place to eat! I had the fish and chips and there were no regrets! They have a secluded outdoor patio where pets are welcome on a leash. Beautiful views of the ocean and beach from the front.

Nice friendly establishment that was one of the few restaurants open in the area. We had to wait 30 minutes for the breakfast menu to close out before they started serving lunch, but they communicated that very well I won't hold it against them. We had the crab cakes, steamer clams, and grilled rock bass. The steamer clams were a nice portion, but still had some sand in it. However there was a nice mix of onion and tomato broth plus buttered toast that it was quite satisfying. The crab cakes were a bit small for my taste and it felt like it could have used some more crabs. It was also a bit dense. The grilled rock bass was great - they ran out of rice but the side salad sub was not a bad choice. Overall, a solid place in the area!
