The food was quite good and arrived quickly. It was hot and fresh. We were very pleased that we came here up until that point. Nobody ever came to check if our food was correct or good. The bus boy came and cleared our table. We waited for the check. And waited. And waited. And waited. We finally had to track down our server to ask for the check. When she finally brought it she didn't provide a pen for us to fill it out. We had to track her down again. Good food, they need to work on the rest of the experience.

The restaurant was busy. We put our name in but had to write it ourselves because it was the girl's first day and she did not speak any English. Once seated, our waitress was also in training and her English was limited. The service was good however and the food was also good. I had the surfer boy and my wife had the surfer boy. The difference is the surfer girl had French toast (other ratings rate this place high on French toast) and the surfer boy had pancakes and 2 eggs. The food was good but with tip for 2 people it was close to $50 which may be high for eggs and toast for 2. You decide.

Satellite Cafe has been a breakfast go-to for us the last 10+ years. Good coffee, nice staff, extensive menu (even after COVID when many restaurants downsized their menus) My only disappointment this visit was the paper plates and plastic utensils. Unless they are washing dishes by hand, don't dishwashers sanitize everything? Oh well, small complaint in light of all they do well. I was not disappointed in that they still had my favorite dish - altho a bit unusual- the Chesapeake Sarah. It is hash brown potatoes topped with eggs any style you like, smothered with homemade creamed chipped beef (I love that it's not salty) and sprinkled with Old Bay. There's no seafood, which we commonly expect with this seasoning, but somehow, it just works and it's delicious. Shout out to Vlad who has been our efficient server there for many years.

Dine-In is Available!!! Brought my wife here for breakfast on her b'day weekend and she loves it. The menu carries a lot of variety, the coffee was Soo good. My wife had the Satellite French Toast and she was just ecstatic over them. They were very large slices!! I myself had The Mess with sausage gravy. The sausage gravy was my favorite. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff are wonderful. This is our go-to place for breakfast every time we take a trip to OC.

Satellite’s food was out of this world. Very small intimate setting that was quirky enough to capture your gaze as you look around. The service was very good and the prices were reasonable. Our waitress was very friendly and energetic. The pancakes were delicious and makes my mouth water just thinking of them. The omelette was also good but not great. If you are looking for some good breakfast I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

It was fine til the aliens showed up - and then it all went downhill. Hi, my name is Alex, and my life, I kinda crazy. This is my story. We walked in after a 15 minute wait, and everything was normal. Cut to 10 minutes later, my sister was served her apple juice - that’s how it started. She said she started to feel “different” and she began to spaz on the floor. Then, the power started flickering and lighting struck - 💥BOOM💥 After this, weird green men climbed in through the windows. They told us that my sister was necessary to their cause… then they kidnapped her! I think the staff was in on it, for they didn’t help. We managed to get her back after a quick space battle, but still, a bit unsettling. “But don’t worry, I’m ok. I always am.” -Gandra Smith

Great food! Service is excellent! Never a bad experience. The Chesapeake Sarah is my go to here. Eggs, SOS, hash brown, and toast. What more could you want? The scrapple! The sausage wasn’t the best. But pancakes and bacon were perfect! Two locations 24th and 46th street. The 24th Street is cash only. Excellent food. Is a must when you visit.
