Beautifully painted building and excellent dining experience! Service was absolutely top notch and friendly. Menu is appropriately huge for a diner, portions were very large and, most importantly, the food was delicious. Only drawback is that it is definitely expensive. However, the quality is really excellent. We were passing through and next time we're in town, we'll definitely stop at the Oakland Diner again! (Delicious muffins too which is a big thumbs up in my book!). *Returned for another great meal. But so expensive... Removing 1 star.

The Oakland Diner is amazing and I understand why it is called the "OD". Delicious food, great atmosphere, there is something for everyone. Amazing service and desserts that will have you amazed. Highly recommended. Their Cheesecake is everything!!!!

Very good service and huge variety of choices. I ordered the Burrata Sandwich, half was big enough to feed me, the curly fries were AMAZING! Crunchy & Tender at the same time. Place is covid safe & clean. Will definitely go back.

This is one of the best diners in the area! I love the interior design, service is good, menu has extensive choices, food is tasty ! They do have almond milk ! This diner is very busy, parking is always full ! Get there early !

Enjoyed a stop here with my kids. Our waiter was super nice, the food came quickly, and it was delicious ! Classic NJ diner experience - which as a lifelong Newjersian- I LOVE. They also now have outdoor seating which is perfect for a nice day. Will definitely go back.

OD is my favorite local diner for many reasons, starting with the fantastic food! Varied and extensive menu. Kids treated like gold...as are the adults...staff is caring, kind, attentive and fantastic! Harry and Dimitri are the tops. Their coffee is super and desserts...forget it. Good bakery quality, not typical diner fare. Love their large salads and the fries and onion rings (a diner staple) are perfection. They can make a real egg cream (important) and everything is always fresh. Never saw an unripe tomato or wilted piece of lettuce. Quality prevails. The decor is fabulous and keeps improving, it's lively and fun. Sit at the counter some time and feel like it's the "old days"...watch the staff working at high speed...chat with a new friend sitting next to you. Very friendly, comfortable place and they make a tuna melt like nobody's business! Thanks Harry and sons...

I have going to the OD since 1960. Used to wash dishes and my father was a short order cook on weekends. Loved it then and now. Breakfast anytime. My favorite is corned beef hash and eggs mmmm!! What they have done with the place is amazing. In and out.

Wife and I had dinner there last night. Dinner was fantastic, OMG......I had the best bread pudding I ever ate. I’d go back just for the bread pudding!!!! Service was great too. Our server was very nice and fun. Definitely going back often! Good job OD!!!
