Do not order from this store while we're still in a pandemic. Requested contactless delivery. Driver refused to leave the order until someone came outside. Driver left part of someone else's order, then called to have us meet him outside again to return it. Called the store to let them know that someone's order had been in our possession, figured they would not want cross contaminated deliveries made in the middle of a global pandemic - she claimed he only had our order when he left the store. I wouldn't trust their safety practices.

I'd give it zero stars honestly. Ordered pizza and wings it came late. Was super cold and doughy. Took one bite and realized that it wasn't cooked thoroughly. I called and was put on hold for 20mins then hung up on. Then when the lady finally picked up again she was by far the rudest person I've ever come in contact with. No remorse at all, then told me it wasn't their fault, manager wasn't there and hung up on me again. Called back and someone else answered and took my information and told me her manager would call me back. This was at 7pm its now close to midnight so it's safe to say I won't get a call back today. The worst experience ever. I'll never go here again and at this point I want my $30 back

Quality has gone way downhill. I ordered the thin crust; I got regular. Ordered extra cheese; got hardly any at all. Gave step-by-step directions to my apartment, but the delivery guy called from the street, and when I got out there, he was half a block away. To top it all off, the pizza wasn't even hot, and I live a measly 2 miles from their location! I'll be going to Straw Hat or Mountain Mike's from now on. At least there, you get what you pay for, not brilliant pizza, but decent and they prepare what you ordered.

My husband and I are from Colorado, spending the weekend in Oakland. We don't have a Pizza Guy's out there. It was late night we were hungry but too tired to go anywhere. I was pleasantly surprised with the service faster than the original 45 min wait time for delivery. The pizza was absolutely delicious and perfect. We also ordered there cinnamon twists I haven't had a churro this good in at least 10 years. Kudos to you Pizza Guy's you now have new customers for life. I would happily reccomend anyone looking for something new and delicious to give them a try, I promise you won't regret it.

I live in San Francisco, however last Friday night I was in Oakland visiting a friend. We decided to order a pizza but it was late at night. The closest and only place available was this particular pizza place. So we placed an order online, which consisted of a medium Pizza in a 2 L bottle of Orange Crush. And we charged it to my personal debit card. The total came to $30.51! A few minutes later we received a phone call saying that there was a problem with the credit card and if we still wanted the order we had to pay cash oh, so we were hungry and agreed to pay cash. Later that night I checked my transactions and found out that even though we paid the driver $30.51 in cash, my debit card had still been charged! We called the pizza place and we're told that they were sorry, and would credit my account in 24 hours. I actually waited 48 hours, and still no credit appeared. I called the pizza place back and was told that they can do anything about it, and I was to call my bank. I argued with them saying I didn't give the bank $30.51, why should they have to pay me back? I gave you guys the money, therefore you guys need to pay me back. I asked if I can come to the store and just collect my cash since the charge had already gone through on my account, they said no. So I called my bank on Monday and I was told that if they put in for a credit oh, it probably wouldn't have shown until Monday the same day. I was told to wait and if I didn't see credit, to call them back on Tuesday. Tuesday came and still no credit appeared. So I went ahead and call the pizza place back one more time and spoke with a different person who claimed she was the manager, and I told her what had happened and she said she would look into it and call me back. I waited all day she never called me back. So the next day I called my bank and I disputed the charges after waiting about 45 minutes on hold each time I call my bank, which drives me nuts. Anyway bottom line my bank did not honor my request and gave me information to prove it in a different manner. I decided to call the pizza place back one more time and after arguing a bit and having to send a screenshot of my checking account transactions to prove they charged me the $30.51, I also had to send a screenshot of the letter from my bank saying they would not cover the $30.51. After doing so the manager agreed that they were in the wrong and said I could come and get my $30.51 back in cash or in food. So I drove all the way from San Francisco back to East Bay to get the $30.51 in cash and they gave me a 2 L bottle of soda as compensation for all my trouble. Of course I had to pay the toll bridge $6 to get back to San Francisco. This was a crazy experience and I felt like they must do this to a lot of other people and it could be part of a scam. They're greedy and shady and their food isn't even all that. That's my opinion

I had one of the worst customer service experiences in my entire life with this pizza place. On Saturday, I ordered a Texan BBQ pizza - but the one that arrived didn't have BBQ sauce. It was not what I ordered. When I called, the person on the phone asked what I wanted them to do. I want the pizza I ordered! They explained that they were very busy and asked if they could send me a pizza on Monday instead. I said ok. They asked what time, and I said 6pm.
Monday, 6:20pm, I called and asked about my pizza. They said that they had me down for Tuesday at 6pm - but I never would have agreed to that, because Monday was my last night in town. They explained that their drivers were very busy, but they could get the pizza to me by 8:00pm. Geez, but ok. At 8:30pm, I called and they reassured that it was going to be delivered soon. This is definitely not ok.
I spoke with the assistant manager of Pizza Guys. At this point, I told him that I don't even want the pizza anymore... I don't eat dinner late, and I'm upset. All I want is a refund. He said that he was unable to give me a refund because two pizzas had already been made for me. Seriously?! The first pizza wasn't the one I ordered, and the second one wasn't delivered even within a 2-hour window of the agreed upon time!
Here's a tip for the management staff at Pizza Guys: If you make a mistake, own it - and then make good on your promises to fix it. I had two experiences with your establishment - Saturday and Monday - and both of them were horrible. Refunding my order, which is literally pennies for you guys, would have prevented this negative review.
I'll be looking into the Better Business Bureau to see what other steps I can take here. I stand firm that I shouldn't have had to pay money for a pizza that I didn't order.
UPDATE: After contacting corporate and the BBB, they provided a full refund. Hopefully future customers won't have this experience.
