Big and spacious, many tables, outlets with extension cords provided. WiFi was somewhat slow with very few people on computers. Parking is very difficult to find nearby. Coffee was ok. Service was great but $8 minimum for credit card transactions was annoying (that’s really cheap, who does that anymore!?). Latte was served in a small coffee cup instead of a latte mug. Pastry and food choices are scant and look unappetizing. The ambience was less than desirable. Extremely bizarre and annoying music playing (but at least it wasn’t turned up to loud). Furniture consists of old beat up tables, old torn-up seats and couches, and wobbly chairs. The place has a very damp and stale smell, and the distracting and outdated ceiling fans don’t seem to help much with the air circulation. The lighting is depressing. The floors are old, unfinished, and creaky. Ceiling have touch up paint everywhere so they must be leaky. Paint is old and the walls and floors are dusty and dirty. Some people might like this type of ambience and say that it has character, but to me it just seems like they aren’t willing to spend the time and money to fix up the place and give it an updated look and improved ambience. If they gave it a makeover and improved the food/drink offerings I think this could become a great place.

My favorite neighborhood coffee shop to get work done or just hang with a friend or a book. Coffee and food at a reasonable price with plenty of table space you never have a problem finding a spot to sit. They also have a handful of tables on the street outside if you’d rather take in the sights on Temescal. The beer on tap ($6/pint) plus a fair selection of board games make this a great spot for an afternoon beverage as well. My only complaint would be the 7pm closing time is a bit early especially since they do serve beer. The music can also be a little loud for reading but nothing headphones can’t fix I suppose. Overall a true Temescal gem with unbeatable vibes.

It was my first visit and I didn't see a name on the front of the building but I was drawn in by the smell of the coffee. The cafe had just opened when I arrived and no one said anything to me. And then I was like hello, this is my first visit and the barista was like oh welcome and she showed me the menu that was on the counter. She was nice and let me take my time ordering. I ordered a cappuccino. It was pretty small, like 6 oz and was about 5$. I could have gone somewhere else and got a larger coffee for less but this cappuccino was strong and worth the price. It's not a bad place, but it wasn't my vibe.

Looks like a regular coffee place but actually is great for sitting with your laptop and enjoy a great ambience for working, reading and listening to good music. I personally like drinking Kombucha in this Place, you should really give it a try

Great coffee, good service. I like to come here in the morning and get an hour of work done on my laptop while enjoying coffee and a snack. I like the funky mix of solid wood chairs & tables. I can usually find a comfortable spot and get some work done. The music is an eclectic mix, but generally friendly to concentration and upbeat. I see plenty of folks use this as a work meeting space, too. Unpretentious and casual.

What's up with the attitude? Needs some serious adjustment. Otherwise, the place itself is cozy with plenty of space and some laptop free tables. Vegan options. Music can be sporadic yet sometimes pleasing. Good luck finding parking tho.

Great spot to get some studying or work done. Good coffee, tea and food. Plus the free Wi-Fi always helps. Last but not least the staff are really nice and helpful, and most of the other patrons are respectful of your space + need for quiet. It's hard to find a Cafe with all of the above, so I'd highly recommend H&P. TIP: Get the Mini egg sandwich for some major flavor. Or one of the delicious vegetarian/vegan options if that's more your thing. Oh and wash it down with any of the well-made espresso based drinks.
