It's an upscale downtown bar that thankfully doesn't act like an upscale downtown bar. Some drinks are truly strong which helps a lot when the prices are higher than I'm usually used to paying in the east bay. That said, they're rather expertly crafted, fancy ingredient drinks that taste damn good. Their food is good too although again a bit pricey. The overall experience of this place is very positive if you can afford it.

This is a hidden gem in the downtown Oakland area. The perfect tiki bar atmosphere to escape the day. Island themed interior with comfy booths surrounding the walls. The drinks are really tasty as is the food. Prices aren't too bad either. My only regret is not knowing about this place sooner!

Fabulous cocktails and neat quiet atmosphere. Very classy and an amazing selection of back bar spirits. Particularly rum and whiskey. Has the best Gin selection I've seen anywhere.

Came here with my wife for my birthday and it was just what I'd hoped for. The interior is a great throwback tiki bar, the drinks are big, tasty, and strong, and the food we had was fantastic. We'll be back.

I loved this place, the food was eclectic and delicious, and the drinks were tasty and strong. I suggest getting the Queen's Barrel (but make sure you share it). The staff was also very friendly. We had only great interactions with them.

Great Tiki bar to grab some tropical drinks. If you like guava and passion fruit, I would recommend getting the Malambo #1. The coconut shrimp was fried to perfection and the had a sweet/spicy chilly sauce to go with it. The mac and cheese dish was okay, nothing special. Therefore, I would pass and try something else on the menu.
