It's an upscale downtown bar that thankfully doesn't act like an upscale downtown bar. Some drinks are truly strong which helps a lot when the prices are higher than I'm usually used to paying in the east bay. That said, they're rather expertly crafted, fancy ingredient drinks that taste damn good. Their food is good too although again a bit pricey. The overall experience of this place is very positive if you can afford it.

The pictures were definitely deceiving online about this place. I thought it was gonna be colorful with lights and tiki stuff everywhere. Instead it was dark, quiet and poorly decorated. The only thing that looks nice is the drinks. so me and some friends knew what we wanted to Drink and we're waiting forever to be served. There was hardly anyone there and the kitchen was closed, so why so long? instead the waitresses were standing in the corner and chatting where everyone in the place could see them. needless to say I won't be wasting my money or time there again.

Great Tiki bar to grab some tropical drinks. If you like guava and passion fruit, I would recommend getting the Malambo #1. The coconut shrimp was fried to perfection and the had a sweet/spicy chilly sauce to go with it. The mac and cheese dish was okay, nothing special. Therefore, I would pass and try something else on the menu.
