Grand Lake Kitchen

I was very excited to try Grand Lake Kitchen after so many amazing reviews. The food was good and our waiter (caucasian male with brown hair) did an amazing job serving my boyfriend and I. Our experience so far was really great until a waitress (biracial female with brown hair) who was not serving us accused my boyfriend and I of walking out on our tab after already paying and tipping our server. This was a very humiliating experience as the other people who were seated outside saw my boyfriend and I get accused of walking out. We will not be returning and do not recommend this place unless you want to get a used of stealing from the female waitress. Do better Grand Lake Kitchen. Horrible experience and very humiliating.

Indoor dining is still a new thing and Grand Lake Kitchen handled it well. Sanitized tables, limited capacity, QR code ordering and yet still a friendly and satisfying experience. Perfectly cooked poached eggs, and simply delicious hummus. The cocktails came in premade sealed jars cooled to the right temperature - nice touch to keep all contact and interaction to a minimum. I'll definitely be back.

Bartender...What a nice guy, he was attentive, informative, and made my drink perfect...Yay! Food my french toast was delish and my bacon was thick, savory and cooked fried not too hard but with a slight crisp! My waitress took my food away (wayyyy too early, I had an entire French toast left and a piece of bacon). I almost killed my friend who didn't stop the waitress! My food was so good, there was no sucking that up...lol...I wanted my last piece of bacon...hahaha...But, no big deal, the manager came over and apologized and replaced the food! What a pleasure! Can't wait to go back! Sorry no pic, I was starving and my food looked so good, I dived right in...

lol, this has to be the most pretentious place I've been in the bay area in ten years. the $17 bone marrow plate is 2.5 pieces of bones and unchewable overtoasted unseasoned bread. salad are a huge bowl of greens with some of the other ingredients sprinkled on top. in the picture, the $4 "large" drip coffe. at least, everyone is super-nice. and the three bone marrow spoons were delicious

The service wasn't anything to write home about. I got "papers please" at the door, so be prepared to show a vac card, if you're into that kind of thing. The food was fresh, but the table ordering system ruined the experience. The waitress could add on another OJ, or anything else for that matter. Every time you need something, it's back to the app. It was really lame. Oddly enough, the food was really great, but the experience sucks outside.
