The slightly subterranean vibe of The Golden Squirrel gives the place a cool that feels good on a warm Oakland day. The food is commendable and plentiful. A good selection of beer—both bottled and on tap—adds to the positives of the place.

Super friendly owner and staff and patrons, too. Love the Warriors projected on the big wall. Cocktails and beer selection is extensive and good. Will fake mustaches be available every night???

Lively crowd and big screens for watching the game. Huge selection of fresh better on tap. Modern pub food that's both creative and satisfying. Friendly wait staff. Squirrels. What's not to love!

We had a great time. The food was great, the drink choices were amicable. But the staff treated us like family. We had a great time, met some fun people, played games and had an enjoyable evening at The Golden Squirrel. So much that we came back the following night to do it again!
