Their ramen was phenomenal. It comes in big bowls so it is a pretty big serving, could be two meals.
You gotta reserve in advance since they may have a waiting time. Definitely recommend visiting.

Fantastic food the tonkotsu ramen Dx is massive! Love it, it’s so good 😘😛😋 had a super fun time here meeting up with friends in the Bay Area. Highly recommend.

Pirikara Chicken Bites – 5/5 – A nice fried chicken sandwich. The flavors were amazing and one bite encompassed a multitude of texutres.
Chicken Paitan dx – 5/5 – WOW! A chicken leg AND ramen?!?!? Yes please! I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to have one of these limited dishes. The ramen was so rich and tasty. And of course who could say no to a chicken leg.
Service: 4/5 – Friendly and attentive service.
Ambiance: 4/5 – We were lucky enough to not have to wait too long for a seating. But the place was packed and remained packed for the entire duration of our stay there. The interior was pretty nice as well.
I ordered pork belly bun and Hakata Tonkotsu DX ramen. Somehow I like the pork belly bun better, I think it’s because the pork belly is grilled in the bun. Ramen is good in general and the broth is not salty!
Have been to Marufuku a number of times, most recently last Thursday on Dec 30th. I have never had anything less than a good experience at Marufuku. The hakata style used is pretty authentic, offering a rich tonkotsu broth and kaedama (noodle refills). They do also have a paitan broth (using more chicken, a less oily choice for diners) and I believe also a vegetarian broth option as well (haven't tried it yet, but I assume a mix of konbu and shiitake to make the broth). I also am very happy with the design sense places into the bowls and utensils, all having a sense of asymmetry that reminds me of a style of Japanese ceramics whose name escapes me. Service was always helpful, friendly, and prompt. The Oakland location also has easy access to Den sake, as the brewery is very nearby in West Oakland.
Really good Ramen. Cool little place in a nice little strip of restaurants and bars. Be prepared for a bit of a wait. Great ramen.

I had the Chicken Paitan DX again! We have been back several times, once or twice a month since the late Winter/Spring initial visits. The place is always clean, friendly service and delicious food that is dependable and repeatable every time we eat there.

Our second time eating here since our initial visit in February. The first time we went there I wondered why the server told us that the chicken dish was limited to 15 servings? This time I had the Chicken Paitan DX and it was fantastic! The chicken breast in the soup is tender and the Chicken leg on the side is sweet tender and juicy. The chicken leg is almost a leg quarter (or is it?) I could not finish it and took it home with the salad I didn't finish. The service was friendly and fast.
Our first time eating here and it won't be our last! Ramen as the name states, one vegetarian which they can make Vegan. I had Hakata Tonkatsu DX. A delicious and filling ramen dish, the Pork Belly was plentiful and tasty as well as all the veggies and boiled egg!
Parking is always an issue in the area now that it has been gentrified. So plan on circling the block until you see someone walking to their car.
