This is a great little hideaway with amazing food. My family has had pretty much everything on the menu and we have enjoyed it all. You cannot go wrong if you are looking for Italian food by coming here.
Great Italian food in Oakland MD. Local IPAs and ciders on tap. Huge portions, the calzone was gigantic.
Words of advice - Make sure you request the fresh dough pizza crust if you order pizza !!!I! WOW! What a treat!!! The food was delicious. We ordered a 20 inch cheese pizza (because we love leftover pizza) and the Greek Chicken Pasta. The pasta dish was enormous!!! Enough to serve several people. The flavor was simple but yummy. The pizza was amazingly delicious too. It scored a perfect 3 out of 3 - with a nice doughy crust (fresh dough), a sweet tasty red sauce (which was definitely homemade) with small chunks of tomato, and a thick flavorful high quality cheese on top. We will definitely be going back to Tomanetti's next time we are in Oakland (but with more folks). Treat yourself to Tomanetti's when in the area. You will not be disappointed nor will you leave there hungry.

Service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere of the dining room was excellent with the right amount of lighting a little bit dim to enhance the informal and relaxed setting. I ordered a calzone which was actually big and turned out to be one of the best I ever had.
Excellent place to eat! The food and atmosphere is perfect for a great dinning experience. Cost is very reasonable and portions are large. The pizza is our favorite!

I'm reading a lot of reviews from people expecting NY perfection pies... You're in Oakland, MD - Appreciate the rarity of a solid pizza when there aren't many options.
We moved here from the Baltimore area. East Coast family, we know good pizza. We've ordered takeout pies from every place including Deep Creek Lake area (Brenda's/Uno's is better, but also much further away).
We're in Terra Alta and have had Tomanetti's 3 times in the past couple months, they're hands down the best around here. (Speaking to the pizza not the staff as we've never eaten in-house). Whoever's in the kitchen has impressed us 3/3 times. We're nerds and get the Garden Veggie on Cauliflower crust. If you don't know - that's *incredibly hard* to make crispy without being burnt or soggy. Veggies are mostly water, and cauliflower crust is prone to overcooking. I'll even put a timestamp on our most recent order to give credit where it's due: Saturday Sept 24th around 8pm. Whoever made our pie - delicious as always, keep killin' it in there!
We LOVED being at Tomanetti's! We ate on the patio, but the indoor space was very nice and well-decorated - a true Italian restaurant feel. The patio was nice and relaxing. Our waitress was very kind, and the food was amazing! The portions are very big, so be ready to eat or take home leftovers! We got the chicken parmesan, and the marinara was nicely done. We also got the crab ravioli, which was delicious as well. The salad and freshly baked bread were great side dishes. The location is great and not far from the local park, so we were able to walk around after dinner. We will definitely be back at Tomanetti's!
