Great food, reasonable prices and great service. Everything is made from scratch which is awesome.

We had a family member to pass away in February 2019 and the Red Oak Grill handled the food and arranged a great location for the Repast. As you can imagine when someone dies you are grieving and you can quickly become overwhelmed but the Red Oak Grill stepped in to work with us on a reasonably priced menu, drinks, setup and even dessert. Ms. Beth took care of everything and it was so convenient to use the Lewis House for family and friends to gather after the funeral service which is across the street. The food was outstanding! Everyone was commenting on the menu and how great everything turned out. We appreciate the Red Oak Grill, they were definitely there for us during our time of need. You cannot go wrong with this place. They are caring and support the community. They provide excellent service, the food is delicious, absolutely top notch. Thank you Beth. (You may remember you went to high school with our sister Garnet Coles)

The food is excellent! The menu prices apparently changed, we weren’t told until we received the bill and realized there was 3 extra dollars added to both of our entrees. We were expecting the prices printed on the menus we were given before ordering, so we were really surprised at the price the bill came to. When we mentioned this, the waitress explained the new menus with the new prices had been ordered, but hadn’t come in yet. So we paid more than we expected, but the food was good so I guess that’s okay lol.

My family always try’s to support local businesses. While traveling to visit with family, we met for dinner. My first clue should have been a completely empty restaurant at 6 pm on a Saturday night. We ordered the “Mountaineer burger” two without cheese and seasoned fries. Mine was the last to arrive (we had a party of 6 adults and a child), while everyone else was over half finished. The burger was dry, the bun toasted to crumbles and NO seasoning on the fries. Was not worth $8. Maybe this was a one off, but we will not be back.
It’s WAS Bridge Day; however, we passed a restaurant just a block up that had folks waiting outside to get in. So I have to say that’s not the reason.

because the owner replied. and got on to me (feel like i'm being bullied and being suppressed on freedom of expression aka being anti america) I will now give Red Oak an outstanding review! Dry food, and less then 1/4 of a lbs angus after it's cooked is great!
