The Cardboard Box

Ben and his crack team of servers killed it last Saturday night for the annual holiday party for Vineyard Gardens. The restaurant was decorated for the holidays, the food was impeccable, Kate and the staff were extremely helpful and and everything flowed like you always hope a party will. Afterwards DJ Pretty Ninja (Erica Davies) dropped set after set of great dance music until everyone was exhausted. Talk to Kate about reserving for your next party, you will not be disappointed.

I took my mother out to dinner this summer. Our meal and service were excellent. I love bbq, and the ribs did not disappoint. It's important for me to give this statement about Cardboard Box and Oak Bluffs. I know from a personal experience that the owners of this establishment love the town and the people who reside and visit here. Since I know how committed the Cardboard Box owner is to the community, and I had seen what Ben and his crew have accomplished over the years, I chose this location for my Mother's celebration. Thank you to our server who pulled a double the day before, to the chef for cooking a great meal, and to Ben for creating a wonderful establishment for me to take my Mother to. Thank you, thank you thank you. (Sorry this was written in September, August was like a south beach wave that crushed me...took me a few weeks to get my footing back).

Another extraordinary dinner from the Cardboard Box tonight! We have the chance to come to Martha's Vineyard a few times each year, and the ONLY restaurants we go to each time are The Cardboard Box and Red Cat Kitchen. In the age of coronavirus, we wondered whether we could feel comfortable with the takeout process and whether the food would be as good. The entire experience was stupendous. Their ordering is done online and the takeout process is efficient with good text communication and total contactless pickup. The dinner was spectacular, as always. We can't even find descriptive enough words to communicate the deliciousness of the ribs and cornbread. The crab cakes and pot stickers were outstanding. The Jambalaya was authentic, spicy and delicious. And the caprese salad was fresh and literally perfect. We also ordered food for lunch tomorrow, including the most perfectly seasoned chicken tenders EVER (we couldn't wait until lunch tomorrow to try them). The french fries were just the right amount of crispy outside and creamy inside. Do yourself a favor - if you come to Martha's Vineyard you MUST eat at Red Cat Kitchen or The Cardboard Box...and better yet, go to both. They are located across the street from each other, walking distance from the Oak Bluffs Ferry terminal. Best. Food. Ever.

Everything here is top class. This place is in a different league. My water glass was never empty longer than 30 seconds. Service was attentive, personal and friendly. My server was Tim. He knew the menu well and made great recommendations. The food was AMAZING. Very well seasoned, balanced tastes, and a beautiful presentation.

One of the best meals I had during our week on the Island. I know a lot of people want to be by the water but if you are looking for really good food and a really nice place to cool down on a hot summer day this is the place..... yes their AC really works well here... oh and a nice cool adult beverage helps as well!

Can't say enough about our dinner at the Cardboard Box. My husband and I both agreed that this was one of the most amazing restaurant experiences we have ever had . Staff were wonderful (especially our waitperson, Sherry), decor was elegant, and food was out of this world--both taste and presentation. Don't miss the Thai Shrimp! .
