A local recommended this spot and it did not disappoint. Did not have a reservation but got seats at the bar. Nice open layout to the restaurant. Spacious bar with a good selection of drinks and spirits. Kevin the bartender was very attentive in spite of being busy. Speciality old fashioned and Manhattan for cocktails. Both were very good. We ordered a couple of appetizers rather than meals. Highly recommend the Brussel Sprouts. Great flavor and enough to share. The Shrimp and Crab cocktail had a good flavor but not stellar. We were surprised how small the shrimp were especially at $28. I would not recommend the shrimp. Overall a great spot and would eat here again.

I thought this was a great, not outstanding meal. It really should have been the latter given the price point. Cocktails and the wine list were both creative. Apps - I would pass on the appetizers. We had oysters that were akin to a deconstructed poor boy. Oysters, watercress, tartar sauce and a shaved fancy cheese. Oysters were perfectly fried. Crab dip, while ultra creamy, felt like something you can pick up in most New England pubs. Mains - Mains were excellent. The short ribs and accompanying Black eyed peas were a favorite. Melt in your mouth tender short rib. The halibut special with lobster risotto was the taste of summer with large chunks of fresh lobster. The fried chicken well seasoned but got a little lost on the dish, though I could decide whether the watermelon arugula salad was off-putting or adorable. It did not do much for the dish. Service - our waiter took some time to get to our table. He was nice but did not do much more than get the order. I noticed because I had a visitor from another country and it was hard for her to navigate the drinks menu and he offered limited help. Anyhow, I would go again, I think it is delicious bit think there is room for improvement.

Sensory overload. Loud. Quite boomy music, echoey, mismatched chairs and tables, old random decorations, baseball caps, dried roses covering the ceiling, mismatched votives on walls, holiday lights, old magazine articles paper mache all over pillars…it’s a lot. On the other hand, the food was very good. Greens and burrata was surprisingly good and tasty, even though it looked like it would be boring. Many flavors, herbs and surprising tastes sneaked in and vinaigrette was good. My vegetarian dish was pretty tasty, and my husband’s tuna was done well. So, the food is good, yet the vibe is not for everyone.

Excellent cocktails at the bar before our reservation. Delicious dinner! Tuna tartare app was outstanding and plentiful and oh so pretty! Very nice server. Sea scallops over corn risotto with basil oil spot on. Our only concern is the noise. There is absolutely no sound proofing and our ears buzzed the whole night. Very hard to converse, even at a side table. Even our server said it's a problem and she wishes management would address it. Other than that....a very creative, pricey establishment.

Place has a great vibe. Awesome ambiance. Jaws on the big screen. Awesome service by the bartenders. Food was absolutely delicious. Drinks were perfect. Only slight negative...read the menu re the scallops. Says Big A$@ Scallops. Only one was big, the other 2 on the smaller side.

I don't like to use superlatives really... And I'd absolutely consider myself a foodie. But I can unequivocally say: this was one of the top 5 meals I've had in my entire life. Holy moly. I was almost in tears when I had the first bites. We ordered the special halibut, the souffle and the swordfish. I've never tasted anything so amazing. The fish had the perfect texture. The risotto (which I usually always hate) was absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned. I can't rave enough about this place. Our server, Martha, was also perfect. Super personable and just all around great. If you're in Martha's Vineyard, you NEED to go here.

Honestly can’t decide whether food or the service was better… both were equally amazing. These people know what they’re doing. Cozy spot with lots of character that shows in every aspect of the experience - from the decor/ambience, to the cocktails and freshly sourced ingredients, even the cheeky verbiage of the menu. And don’t even get me started on how fantastic the wait staff is (shout out to Caroline). I mean seriously next level. If you happen to have the privilege of dining here, do not pass up on the tuna, Brussels sprouts, or the fried chicken - but to be completely honest, it’s truly difficult to pick just a few favorites when EVERYTHING we ate was delicious. I promise you won’t be disappointed with any dish they put in front of you.

The Red Cat Kitchen is a special gem that serves a varied menu of thoughtfully conceived, exquisitely prepared and expertly presented appetizers and entrees! The restaurant is bustling with happy patrons, but please don’t feel obliged if you aren’t ready for the delicious rewards at the Red Cat Kitchen. Be advised sublime farm to table dishes are priced accordingly and may be a stress test for those with a limited budget. That being said, if you’re looking for a great experience from the charming hostesses to their attentive servers. We were made to feel like special guests from the moment we stepped into the cozy dining area to the time we finished our last bite. We all agreed that we’ll be back during our next trip to the Vineyard!

Honest to god, this was one of the best meals the four of us had in a LONG time. Everyone got some type of seafood and it was cooked to perfection. Not cheap, but so so so worth it

Slap Yo Momma Good Food and Phenomenal Service from Erin!! We went to Red Cat to celebrate my mother’s birthday as we took a chance on the New York strip dish with butter poached lobster tail. When I tell you we had no regrets, I mean it. Before the meal arrived, we were having a robust conversation but after the first bite, we were silently focused on enjoying every tasty morsel. I’m a picky eater especially when there’s a mix of flavors and textures. It all worked. Bravo to the chefs. We will be back.

Absolutely wonderful! Stayed in Martha’s Vineyard for 2 weeks and dined at Red Cat twice! The food is spectacular. Everything tastes fresh and flavorful. The Tiger shrimp dish was so good!!!

Nice cozy restaurant conveniently located in town. I had fried oysters (moist on the inside, crunchy on the outside, and plump), swordfish with lobster risotto (swordfish was moist and a nice cut of thickness - lobster risotto was creamy and al dente with nice chunks of lobster), and for desert - chocolate moose (rich chocolaty flavor in a smooth fluffy texture. Food 8/10 Service 10/10 Cleanliness 10/10

We really enjoyed our meal. The ambiance inside was low key and cozy for a nice couples dinner—not too loud even though there was a bar. The outside porch also looked nice if you want some good Oak Bluffs people watching. Jeffery D was our server. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and pointed us to some great food. If the Halibut in corn fresca is on the menu when you are there you must order it. All of our food was delicious. We highly recommend this place. Thanks Jeffery!

Had a great meal tonight at Red Cat. Aside from the delicious food, we had amazing service from Victoria, who was attentive, and did everything possible to make the experience awesome. The fried chicken was very tasty, and the corn risotto was extremely solid. Really enjoyed our evening here
