My fiancé and I have lived in the Norwich area for about 6 months now and we love trying new restaurants together. Irene’s is AMAZING😍!! I ordered a toasted Italian grinder and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely one of the best grinders ive had in a long time! And he got a chicken tender meal with garlic bread and fries😋 (yes I tried some) they did a wonderful job and quick delivery! Definitely worth a try!! UPDATE**** Irene’s is FABULOUS! It’s still our favorite restaurant in this area! Tonight hubby ordered the fried shrimp, and I got the turkey club😩😋 absolutely wonderful job! Thank you so much for your wonderful service!!

Fast,friendly,clean,affordable and the food was excellent too! Would reccomend for many reasons,not just supporting a small business. Had the seafood platter,garlic bread ( or soup or salad included instead),mozzarella sticks and two regular drinks for less than $40 which i split with my wife and we still have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Would go out of my way to eat here again.Well done!

The family running this restaurant is truly amazing. As a child, my father would always take us here and to the "sister" restaurant in Moodus, CT. The owners/staff became an extended family for us and were always kind and welcoming to everyone. I left the state for 8 years for my career, but luckily moved back this year with my family. I had Irene's cater a cross country team dinner for approx. 40-50 students and their families. The service when I placed the order was excellent. The day of the event the order was delivered on time and the staff who delivered it went above and beyond her duties to help me get everything inside. It was pouring outside when the food was delivered (and super cold), but she had a wonderful attitude and while I personally felt the need to rush to get everything out of the vehicle, she reminded me to take my time and helped me so graciously. The food was hot when it arrived and tasted amazing! The students and their families (some already fans of Irene's) were either excited that I had the event catered by them because they said the food is always so good or took a bite of the various pastas for the first time and raved about how good it tasted. Absolutely recommend Irene's for a family dinner inside their restaurant or to cater your own event!! Excellent experience every time and I was glad to share it with my children!
