Nostalgic walk-up ice cream shop. We were there with a group of 15 family members and they were already busy. With the delays in receiving or comes, the hard serve ice cream wasn’t more like soft serve.
As a butter pecan aficionado, I would have liked to see more pecans, and a little more robust buttery flavor. The others were satisfied with their treat.
We didn’t try the BBQ…maybe the next time.
We come to this place when we are camping in Hoffmaster State Park. Kids love it and so do we. We really like their sandwiches (Cuban sandwich) and mush room & Swiss burgers. Kids always get ice creams. Staff is really nice. The highlight of this place is a backyard with playground picking tables, hammocks. Good option for families. There is always many people. The place feels to me a little like old school America (I’m a foreigner).
We look forward to going here every year. This place has great malts, ice cream, and food. Tonight we got malts, soft serve, and dinner. Sloppy joes weren't great , but the tater tots were really good. The jalapeno bites weren't great, but the mac n cheese bites were super tasty. We also got nugs and Mac and cheese which were both pretty good. It's a town treasure for sure!!!

Update!! This place is still great
What a great place! Lots of options for hard or soft ice cream, sundaes, shakes and hot fried food. We got mint choc chip with toasted almond on top and some funnel fries. All of this was under $10 and wonderful! We both agreed to come here again, great ice cream and great service from staff. The funnel fries tasted good but were a little heavy on the grease for me. Some more powdered sugar also. Still A+
Nice ice cream 🍦 place! And they also have hotdogs! And more! A lot of seating area, also they have a kids playground 🛝 with a swing ! Definitely recommend! This place. I’ve had butter pecan ice cream, and a hotdog 🌭)
Wonderful experience, friendly staff, left a good tip, and I loved my mushroom Swiss hot dog! We will be back!!
Tasty, fresh ice cream in frozen treats. I love the fact that they sell hot food, (such a sandwiches) now.
Wonderful! Place to treat the family if you're out and about while in Muskegon. Would definitely come here again.
I’ve been coming here every Summer on Sunday night for many years. I always get a pork bbq as they have a good recipe. The last few times the amount of meat has been minimal and disappointing. But, tonight the bbq was made very well with plenty of meat. Thank you! It was great!

I have to say the food was incredible and the servers were polite. They misunderstood my order, and when I asked for a replacement they seemed bewildered, but did their best and re-served it appropriately with a kind attitude :) And this place also has a great place to eat with outside picnic tables and a playground! Honestly the best grilled ham sandwich I have ever eaten. And the hard icecream was good too. The flurries seemed a bit lacking in flavor - more like vanilla icecream - but again I adored the experience and love the restaurant now! That's why I give 5 stars, bc the place is adorable and the sandwiches were excellent. And service was kind.
Great food and seating area. Good sized playground for the kids. You even get to wait behind an adorable four-legged customer.
