Two big thumbs up for Main Street Cafe in downtown Northport Village. My fiance, son, and I were downtown and wanted a low key dinner. Even though we live close by, I've only eaten here once. The restaurant is very small, so even at 5pm on a Wednesday, it was packed. No worries, 5 mins wait. We sat down and we're greeted promptly by our waitress (don't remember her name, but very friendly). We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer. We already dug in before I took this pic, so there was probably half more of this. All 3 of us ordered burgers for dinner because I always heard their burgers were the best in town. They definitely lived up to their name. I included the check so you can see the very reasonable prices and the names of the burgers. All were cooked to perfection. I liked that the soft drinks were still pre 2020 prices and free refills. Also, I paid with credit card and there wasn't an extra fee.
We recently dined at Main Street Cafe, and it was an amazing experience. The curry mussels were absolutely delightful, and the ambiance added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try
Had a wonderful meal with my husband and another couple. Our server was lovely and attentive, the owner was friendly and very accommodating. It’s a small and quaint space, food was delicious as was my watermelon Margarita. We’ll definitely be back. ❤️
Cute and quaint little pub and eatery! Nice atmosphere in downtown Northport. The food was excellent! I had the cobb salad and the tortellini and sausage soup which was great, and my wife had the Fat Albert Burger which she loved! I highly recommend this small Eatery and the service was excellent but I would come early as there is limited seating.
Very quaint establishment. The cafe has a nice bar and a good sized dining options . The menu is good , loaded with comfort foods and healthy options . They won an award for burgers , they are good ! I tried the Port wine and pear chicken . Very tender . The potatoes and vegetables were fresh and delicious too. Park towards the harbor , in front is tough.
I liked this place a lot. It has a mini Cheers feel to it, neighborhood place full of locals. We went on a Tuesday night, so parking was not an issue, we parked on the street, u don't have to pay the meter after 6pm. I ordered the French onion soup and shrimp scampi. My husband ordered the calamari and penne w mushrooms. Everything was delicious, tho the rice and vegetables that come w the entree are...low quality. Anyway, the place actually charmed me. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive.
Another great lunch in downtown Northport. There is something about this time of year that seems to make this restaurant extra special. Amazing salads and nice servers.
Waited a while to sit down. Even on a Wednesday night the place was crowded, but the wait is worth it. Had a very nice Manhattan clam chowder to start. My Peroni was a little warm, had a good 4 inches of foam on top the beer because of this. Had a burger for my main course, and as always the burger was excellent. Unfortunately our waitress never checked back on us until she brought us the check, but even slightly subpar service can't take away from the nice atmosphere and great food.
Loved this place! Quaint bar with great food. We pooped in for a quick lunch and loved the homemade fries and the veggie wrap and chicken sandwich with the Brie. Delish!
I thought I had reviewed this place not too long ago, but I don't see my words anywhere, so I would like to write one again.
This was my grandparents fave place and they would take my husband and I there often. We would return the favor, too.
When our daughter was old enough, she came too. She loved the cafe and was always treated so kindly by the staff.
Great food and the staff is exceptional They get to know you and remember your likes. This goes back years ago, but I took my grandma there one Mother's Day when my Grandfather was hospitalized. The waitress had fresh roses to give all the women diners. She came around with a vase filled with gorgeous blooms and we each were delighted to choose one. So thoughtful an idea and made a loving impact on my grandmother.
The burgers are the best around, but their other food -- especially, the specials of the day, deserve to be ordered, too. Salmon is always delicious and their soups and desserts are quite good.
We often come back to enjoy the place and remember my grandparents. They are no longer with us, but their memory lives on and going to this lovely cafe helps us feel close to them once more!! I was raised by them as my mother's health was very poor, so my husband and I were always happy to spend time with them at The Main Street Cafe.
