Catalpa actually has some of the better coffee in Northampton, alongside Familiar's and Cafe Balagan (not in that order, necessarily)

Chai latte was fine but uninspired. Was out of toast at 10.30am, but server made great swaps.

Had a nice cortado, biscuit was just okay. Feels hipstery and sleek. Seems like a nice place to do some work or meet up with friends. A few outdoor small tables.

Independent cafe, good food and drinks and beautiful historic place. I only took off a star because I'm very allergic to mold and whenever I went there I would get a headache from the mold. It's either coming up from the vents (from the basement) or under the wood floor.

We tried the specialty lattes and their granola yoghurt. All of them were very tasty. Highlight the cherries and chocolate mocha. Very nice staff and cozy environment.

My brewed coffee was outstanding. I hope to stop back for an espresso drink and maybe a pastry item next time I'm in Northampton.

This place and Amherst Coffee (same owners) have the best dang coffee in the entire Valley. I love rich, strong coffee with a lot of bold flavors and their coffee delivers. It's not strong and bitter like Starbucks, either....just complex and good. Highly recommended!

I’ve been here twice now and have had great experiences both times. Their oat milk latte is fantastic. And they have a variety of muffins and cookies and pastries and scones that come from a fantastic local bakery called Tart. Staff is very nice and there are lots of individual tables where you can sit and chat or sit and do work. And places to plug in your computer or phone are plentiful. Nice big communal table in the middle of the space is really nice to see and very welcoming.

Great location with street parking. Loved the atmosphere, a calm coffee shop to chill out. They only had the small size for an iced maple latte which is disappointing because I paid $5 for a tiny drink. However the quality of coffee is fantastic
