My daughter and I were visiting a local choice college and wanted lunch before heading back home to Maine. One of the students suggested Sylvester's. We had about a half hour wait at about 1pm on a Saturday. It was well worth it. I had the Brussels sprouts potato bowl which was just that with bacon onions and I added ham as well, with a nitro cold brew coffee. My only complaint is there was no sugar substitute available in the table. The meal was delicious and we got some baked goods from the cafe for the road. A giant chocolate macaroon, a giant double chocolate salted cookie, and a s'mores bar. All 3 were only $5.89 and delicious.
When leaving my Paradise of South Florida I love to go to my second Paradise of Northampton. The first morning and the last morning and many other mornings that I'm in town There's Only one place I will have my chai tea banana pancakes and a friendly server serving me breakfast. Since I do work in the business Sylvester's is still my number one breakfast dining experience.
Thank you Sylvester's staff
Did not miss a beat from covid. Food was off the chart! Employees were stellar despite the shortage of workers. Truly is delight to go here in every respect. They did a great job remolding. Look forward to going back soon. Check out these photos!
Sylvester's is a top quality Breakfast Brunch and Lunch restaurant and cafe in Northampton. They serve excellent quality meals and dining. As well as coffee and pastries on their cafe. The staff are always friendly and meals served as ordered. Expect lines around lunch. This is a trendy place. Parking spots are limited. Best to use the Garage or one of the Lots nearby.
Great breakfast spot! I got a special..pulled pork eggs benedict! We also split a waffle and a side of their homemade hash! Very good. The pulled pork was a little bit on the bland side though...but the hollandaise was soooo good!! Also, i didn’t get a pastry, but they looked very delicious and I heard they were great. The baker walked out with a fresh tray of hot jelly donuts covered on sugar. Smelled amazing!
Came here on a lovely Sunday morning with my husband...first time in Northampton and the trip deserves a repeat as the town is amazing!! Our first stop was Sylvester's for brunch...a very lovely Restaurant that truly catered to our food sensitivities. Food was phenomenal and omelettes were a pretty decent portion and perfectly made! I had the "Eat Your Greens" white omelette with a side of greens and avocado and Hubby had the "Corn Hash" omelette with a side of home fries, bacon and GF bread (Udi's). He also had a wonderful Bloody Mary while I sipped on my coffee! There was a 10-15 mins wait for a table for two--place is very popular and we saw why. Staff was busy but aware and responsive to their tables and super nice...very clean place. I definitely recommend!!
Great food! Many choices for breakfast! Order and pay at the counter. Nice clean dining area. Friendly staff!
Amazing service, incredible food. I got the special for Sunday, which was a Cajun Benedict with grits, shrimp, and andouille sausage. The rest of my party got everything from salad to pancakes. Drinks were delicious; I recommend the "Dancing in the Purple Rain" with Prosecco and lavender infused iced tea. We will be back!
Such a lovely breakfast place. Great atmosphere, cozy but spacious, and service is prompt but unhurried. Food itself is excellent and has plenty of customization options. I'm not sure about vegan food, but there's definitely vegetarian options if you ask, and I'm sure if you wanted to cut the dairy it wouldn't be too hard either. Their drink menu is very nice too: a wide variety of lattes and hot chocolates, and a tea menu, though I didn't try it. Prices are fair and not overly expensive (this breakfast for two was around $26 with tax). Heartily recommended.
This is my favorite breakfast spot in western ma. I LOVE Sylvester’s! Great staff, perfect atmosphere, and the BEST food. It’s always worth the wait.
Despite a very busy NoHo Bag Day they found us a spot at the bar and took excellent care of us for a late breakfast. Fresh OJ and a California Benedict really hit the spot. Good homefries and great service.
Good food.. great service.. No brainer if you're in town and in need of a great local spot...
