I was recently there for breakfast., had the Greek omelet. It was delicious and so were the blueberry crepes. I would definitely come back again and recommend the country cottage to a friend.
One of those out-of-the-way joints that you only hear about from the locals - lived in the area 30 years and only found out about it a couple of years ago. Consistently great food, pancakes bigger than your 14-year-old can eat, and plenty of choices for everyone. I’m told they also do great pizza & wings for eat-in or take-out. Highly recommended comfort food. Beware Of Pigs.
My family had gathered here for breakfast which included my cousin from Florida. Everyone enjoyed their food immensely. Although I did not see it come out to the table, my cousin allowed me to try the LA Cinnamon Toast when a small piece was left. I had two bites. For 10 days I thought about those two bites! They were SO good! I was able to go there on the 10th day! I ordered the LA Cinnamon Toast. The pieces of bread were huge! Bigger than sourdough. Bigger than Texas toast. Bigger than I have ever seen! It was SO delicious! It was decadent. It was sinful. It was worth it!
I will definitely be going back and ordering the LA Cinnamon Toast!
My wife and I went here today, ahead of the Valentine's Day crowd. Even though the parking lot was full, there were plenty of open tables.
I had the french toast with apples shown in the picture. My wife had the Greek omelette. Both were awesome. Added sausage, and home fries and it was more than I could eat. Total bill before the tip was about $29.
The atmosphere is really nice. They have done a great job of renovations on this old house. Hundreds of pig curios keep you looking around. Our server and other staff were all very attentive. Well worth the visit.
First time going here for dinner, the food (i had tue salmon) was delicious! The service was quite nice as well. My only complaint is sitting as a 4 person party at their tiny tables was a bit cramped. I did enjoy my dinner though, except the mac and cheese seemed to be a bit over cooked? It was also cold, other than that i give this place a generous 4 stars because the rest of my food was nice and hot, and the waitress we had was nice.
So beautiful inside. Really great job on the remodel.
Food was delicious (amazing fries) but not quite as hot as we hoped and it was a bit of a wait after ordering, so it is likely our server was busy during the busy Friday rush.
Definitely will go back!
Always a great experience at The Country Cottage! Our family loves their breakfast items the best. The waffle is one of the greatest around- especially when topped with their fresh fruit (blueberries & strawberries are our favorites)! Good service, great food, we keep returning for more wonderful experiences.
People are friendly. The menu is extensive. I had the Beef on Wek. The horseradish cleared out my sinuses and made my eyes water! Nothing worse than weak horseradish! The best part was dessert! Homemade pies and Perry's ice cream. I had the blueberry pie. It was delicious. Food was also reasonably priced!
amazing staff, amazing atmosphere, amazing food. Keep in mind they have been doing all this through a pandemic. Please remember to tip handsomely for these people didn't milk the government handouts but decided to work like normal human beings.
