Arooga's

Food was delicious. Service was HORRIBLE! I was a server for 9 years and I’ve never experienced nor treated my guest the way we were taken care of. Not family friendly at all! When we ordered, it was as if we were a burden and when received the food she slammed the plates on the table, not to mentioned we waited for our check for over 10 min. She seemed disinterested and annoyed to be working. We were treated as if we were not welcomed. I know how hard it can be to service people but we were kind and nice, never once rushed her or disrespected her to receive that treatment. I always tip above 20% this is the first time I ever questioned leaving someone a tip as I know how hard this field is. She’s lucky we even left her anything because her service was TERRIBLE! Was even talking prior to arriving about catering from here for my daughters birthday, ABSOLUTELY NOT! Will Never return. How one person ruins it for all!

This is a good sports bar to watch all sporting events. They have TVs galore with a wide selection of food and drinks. The place is spacious so you can invite a lot friends. They even have an outdoor section for ppl who want to smoke cigars and more. My only dissappointment is that the bar isn't always fully stocked so some drinks weren't available. There is a DJ on Sunday for all of the NFL Games which is a nice touch. However, overall good environment with decent prices $$$ for good food with plantbase options for all my vegans and drinks so definitely give this place a shot.

4 years ago a visited Arooga’s for the first time & gave them 3 stars, now I’m back! I truly love this location, mainly due to the Comedy shows ( check Eventbrite). I haven’t had an opportunity to check out the Karaoke. They have great appetizers, however, the drinks seem better on non event nights. This is my second time coming to a comedy show & I had a great time both times. Arooga's is conveniently located on Route 22 East in North Plainfield. I just moved to the area a year ago, not much seems to go on in the this town outside of strip malls, so it's great to have some form of entertainment. As for the food, it's your typical bar food and appetizers; but they do have a great variety of plant-base & gluten-free food. The shows are reasonably priced and it's great to have something to do locally on my weekends. This is my new go-to spot when I need something to do on my days off. As for the crowd… so far it’s been a nice mature crowd & everyone seems to be just having a good time over all.
