Hard hat is a child hood haunt for me. When it was called the Black Stallion, food was great and the set back games were always happening. Friday nights were great times had by all, the place was always packed. Ahhh the good ole days..
Went to Hard Hat for drinks and snacks, with friends and it was good, as usual.

Phenomenal food, excellent service every single time! The drive is about 35 mins but it has been SO worth it every time. The specials are spot on, I’ve had the jambalaya & the swordfish steak both blew me away. The fries are perfect, the drinks were great and service was amazing. This became one of my go-to spots immediately.

Food was great. Waitress was great. But I was charged 2 dollars for ice. I assume, the manager tried to explain why. I got an extra half pour, because of the ice. If they just charged 8.50, wouldn't have said a word. But 2 dollars for rocks on.the bill, just ridiculous.

I've been a regular here for the last 2 years and this place is simply GREAT!
Service is friendly and attentive. Food is consistently delicious and prepared with obvious love.
I always look forward to an evening there!

You want wings then you come here. Hometown bar. Small but great food. Love the atmosphere here. Music playing, people dancing. Always have the sports on. Great place to grab a beer and watch the games. Has a huge backyard too for outings, stars, fundraisers whatever you want.

Haven’t been to Connecticut in years. Found out about this place doing some work around the area. The Brunch Burger is to die for. Custom ordered it to have Mushrooms. Also ordered the sweet potato fries. Both were made extremely well. They definitely know what they’re doing. The syrup that comes with the brunch burger literally completes it. This is the place you go for a high quality burger.
