Blue Heron Grille At Chesapeake Bay Golf Club

Two great courses! And facilities! I play North East every chance I get, from the beautiful views, and food (oh the food) in the Blue Heron Grill, to the great condition, and layout of the course. Great place to Play and enjoy a day off!! I have also been part of a wedding here, and it was top notch! The bride and groom, kept saying how wonderful the staff treated them, and how everything was perfect! I have played Rising sun the sister course many times too. Another great course! Awesome greens, beautiful fairways, JUST WOW!! I recommend both courses and facilities to everyone.

I played this course over Memorial Day weekend and it is playing great. The greens are rolling wonderfully and the fairways are in near perfect condition. The staff is very friendly and the Blue Heron Grill is also pretty great. I will definitely be back to this course numerous times this year.

My college fraternal alumni association has played a charity golf tournament at Chesapeake Bay Golf Club every year since 2004 and we always enjoy our time on and off the greens at CBGC’s two courses; North East and Rising Sun. The management team has always been good to work with, and they and the facility staff, from the pro shop to the snack bar to the special events/banquet crew have always gone that extra step to provide our group with excellent service and a willingness to ensure we have a good and enjoyable outing. Over the years we’ve played both the North East as well as the Rising Sun courses. North East has always been the more challenging course with tighter less forgiving fairways, but that makes it all the more fun to play for our group. The Rising Sun course on the other hand has wider more open fairways, but there are still some challenging holes to test our golfing skills. The evening before our tourney kicks off we typically have a Welcome Reception at the North East Club House in the Blue Heron Grille. This is a fantastic and fun venue… the food is great and so is the staff… there’s always plenty of room for our large group with both indoor and outdoor tables, plus we can enjoy the fantastic views of the first tee box and stretching on across to the lake. When we play Rising Sun we have our post tourney dinner and awards out under the covered pavilion where again the food is always good and the staff good to work with. Our group has guys that travel from up and down the East Coast as well as a few that come in from father to the West – everyone has a great time, thanks in large part to Chesapeake Bay Golf Club, and are always glad they made the trip. I would highly recommend CBGC and their two courses to anyone that finds themselves in the area of North East, Maryland.
