Captain D's Seafood Restaurant

Service was a bit slow but the young lady behind the counter was hysterical. She was trying to make a joke out of everything that was bad she made a joke about. People were laughing. She tried her best but they got a rush at one time and no one seemed to be able to handle it. I give them four stars because they really tried to make it right but the wait time was a little bit long.

Food was good, service could have been better but I really blame myself for attempting to order food when I knew it was almost time to close up. Being in the restaurant business, I understand the annoyance of customers wanting to order food right before closing time... We be tired & ready to go. Love the fish tho.... I needed some D's!!Consistently tasty fresh fried fish, reasonably priced. Some yummy, healthier options for sides, like broccoli, baked potato, corn on the cob.

I have only been in this location a handful of times, but the service has always been friendly. Of course, I was friendly first and that does make a difference. I got the grilled white fish and shrimp skewer. It was good. I like that they don't load the vegetables with a lot of salt and butter - I prefer to season myself. The fish and shrimp well well seasoned and the fish was cooked to perfection. The shrimp was slightly overdone but not bad. Was it like home cooking? No, and I didn't expect it to be. Was it like a 5 star seafood restaurant? No, and it is illogical and absurd to think it should be. But for what it was, and the friendly service, it was enough for me to leave a good review. And I will be back.
