Quiet and clean restaurant with great food. I'll admit, I don't usually try different things here, but the sweet & sour pork is fantastic. I mainly come for the lumpia, though! It's so delicious!
Okay, as a husband of a Filipina wife I will say this is a special place. They have good quality food, a bit expensive for what you get but the experience is worth it. We will be back every few months to take a night off cooking and still get some quality Adobo and Filipino food.
Really enjoyed the food at this location! Family of four, each of us having a different dish, and we all enjoyed them. It's the best chicken pancit I've had out of any restaurant that serves it. It was flavorful, and it wasn't too much of anything, not too spicy, not too mild, not too over-cooked, it was just right! Another person had the fish sarciado, and the fish was mild, had great crunch, and great flavor. The portions easily make two meals. The staff were friendly, great smiles, checked on us a good amount of times, not excessive. They have lunch specials. I'll definitely return when i need my pancit fix!
Wonderful Filipino restaurant. I remember going here as a child and it is just as good now as it was then. The lumpia come fried with a crispy outer wrapping on the outside with a delicious, flavorful filling of meat and fresh veggies and a sweet dipping sauce. The bacon fried rice and sweet and sour chicken with a pineapple sweet and sour sauce crispy fried chicken pieces and crunchy veggies are also amazing.
Whenever I'm in Charleston I always make it a point to stop by for lunch. I especially like the "sweet and sour chicken" and egg drop soup. Some of the best food and top notch service in the area.
Very nice. We recently moved to North Charleston. Eaten at numerous Filipino restaraunts for 30 years and was not disappointed here. Great menu, great prices thst make this a wonderful experince. Serves also a common Oriental menu but the added Filipino items such as Bistek, Pancit, Adobo. Owned by 2 sisters whom we saw present on the day we dined here.i got Bistek, wife got Wonton Soup and Pancit Guisado.
Wonton soup was excellent, fresh, and piping hot.
Pancit and Bistek were both amazing!
We will defintely be back.
My first time at a place like this! It was very delicious! The egg rolls were the best I've ever had and the sweet & sour chicken was great! I definitely recommend the place! The reason I dont give it a 5/5 is because the description said it was a buffet but it wasn't
I’ve been eating at OC since I was a child. The quality of food and service has never changed and they hands down have the best lumpia I’ve ever eaten! 100% recommend if you’re looking for a long time, locally owned restaurant!!
I’ve been eating at this restaurant over 45 years. The founder, Stan Godfrey, was a kind and gentle man who always took care of everyone including his employees. After reading some of the negative reviews, we decided to have lunch there today. I had to see if things had degraded as some had claimed. As I suspected, Janet and family continue to do a great job in carrying on their father’s legacy. The food is awesome and the lumpia is still the best I’ve ever had – period! Years ago my wife and I frequented a 5 star restaurant and even they could have an “off” night on occasion. OC is not 5 star dining nor some showplace, but it is great Pilipino cuisine and our family will be patrons for life.
Hands down my favorite restaurant in Charleston. I’ve been eating at oriental cuisine for as long as I can remember since I was a few years ago. They have the best pepper steak, pancit and lumpia. I also order extra lumpia when I visit to take back home and eat the next day. So good.
Found this place while trying to find a place for lunch. It's quiet and cozy. Friendly employees. Service was quick. Food was delicious and there was plenty of it. Definitely get some lumpia if it doesn't come with your meal. Would definitely go back.
