Great atmosphere; good food; and a roaring fire. We really enjoyed our recent visit to the Freight Yard Pub. There is plenty of parking, an outside patio (for when the weather is warmer). We ordered the fish sandwich special and a turkey wrap. The sandwich was good, though a smaller bun would have made it great. The turkey wrap was like Thanksgiving all wrapped up in an easy to handle bundle of deliciousness. The fries were good, but you want to eat them quickly as they cool off in the cute tin containers. A decent beer list with plenty of options and a very atmospheric fireplace make the Freight Yard Pub a winner.

Uniquely located under a bridge in North Adam's. FYP was such a nice place to eat. I had the Pilgrim turkey wrap & fries, my partner had the garlic parmesean wings, & we shared the spinach artichoke dip in a bread bowl with chips. The food was amazing, probably one of the best tasting meals I've had in a long time. You can tell everything was homemade. The staff definitely takes care of their customers. I recommend checking them out if you are ever in the area or if you want to try something new.

Made the drive out to North Adams Ma. with 3 other hungry people. We decided to dine at the Freight Yard Pub. Strange place to get to since it is tucked away under a bridge, but your GPS will get you there. The atmosphere was nice and the service was good. The dishes ordered were Cheese Burger with Fries, Hawaiian Burger with Sweet Potato Fried, A New England Burger with Mashed Potatoes and Lasagna. The burgers were cooked perfectly and the the lasagna was great. For dessert the four of use shared their special: "Cookie in a Skillet" , a warm chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream served in a small skillet. The portion was very large and was enough for 4 people to share. The only criticism I have to offer is the sweet potato fries were not crisp but a bit soggy. However I would go back there again when in the area.

We are new to living in North Adams and after unpacking too many boxes- we ventured out to Freight Yard Pub for a late dinner on a Friday evening. Live music and a warm atmosphere with friendly people- we really enjoyed our evening. The hamburger was delicious and baked chicken moist and flavorful. Service was excellent and live music artist made the evening for me when she sang Fast Car by Tracy Chapman!

Nestled under the overpass into a cool little town, this is such a cool place! We were greeted immediately and seated promptly (12:30 on a Mon.) Melissa was attentive & helpful with our making food selections. The "chowda" was chunky & creamy. The apple & bacon bleu cheese burger (special) was cooked just right and full of flavor, especially of you like strong BC flavor. The French onion soup was great & chicken piccata was fresh & yummy. There were postings for live music on the weekend evenings, so it seems it'd be a fun place to hang & have drinks.

The Freight Yard Pub is located in North Adams, Mass - just over the bridge near downtown. It’s got ample parking and outdoor seating on their patio and great atmosphere on the inside. I staggered in, having just been on the Appalachian Trail for four days and then walking three miles from the trail on Massachusetts Ave to the pub in high heat and humidity, and no doubt looking and smelling terrible while also carrying a massive hiking pack. I was seated promptly (I chose outside to spare everyone else) with no questions and was able to plug my dead phone into a wall charger outside with the hostess’ permission. I ordered a Guinness (refreshing) and a side of fried pickles (delicious) and Yvonne, my server, was very kind while I told her I was waiting for two fellow hikers I’d left behind on the trail. She inquired every so often but not aggressively, and kept assuring me it was completely fine. When I explained to her the situation she went above and beyond and told me if my friends were trying to order an Uber, they wouldn’t find one and offered to let me use the store phone to call since mine was charging, and even gave me the name of a local cab company to give them. My friends had decided to walk like I had done and we finally ordered. Yvonne was already dealing with several tables including a table of bikers and yet she still nailed our orders and had them out promptly and offered us water top offs regularly, seeing how dehydrated my friends were. She even refilled water bottles with water without us suggesting or thinking it. I got the steak, which was hefty and filling but could have used more seasoning than just Montreal (still loved it, but this is a review after all) and my rice pilaf was surrounded by a puddle of grease or butter. To top it all off, my friends I’d been hiking with were family (mother and son team) and my friend’s wife and two kids showed up to see us and his father showed up and they ordered a few things and she even kept my bill separate without complaint (my friend’s parents would have paid for my meal otherwise and I didn’t want them to spend money on me) while also still providing great service. In short, I’d like to offer my hand in marriage to Yvonne. Just kidding, sort of, but she definitely made the experience and was just such a pro. Kudos to her - and to the restaurant, I hope y’all are paying her!

We were a little worried about trying this place because of some of the reviews. But we ended up having a great dinner. We arrived around 4 pm, and we immediately got a seat at the bar. If we wanted a table, we would have to only wait 10 min. We ordered a turkey club and their black diamond burger. Food came out in a decent amount of time and it was very good. Bartender also kept our drinks filled. Overall, a great experience. 👍

Took my friend there to celebrate her birthday. From the moment we entered until we left, you could not ask for more gracious and friendly atmosphere. We had wanted to order their Mulligatawny Soup. It is so delicious. But it wasn’t on their menu that day. Because we asked, and it was my friend’s birthday. Do you know the chef made up a batch of the soup as a present for my friend. It made my friend’s day. All I can say is Thank you. I’ve eaten there many times in the past, and the food has always been great. The staff has always been friendly. Even the other customers have always been in a good mood, which says a lot for a restaurant. When you go there to eat, all I can say is ENJOY!

Had a decent eggplant parmigiana with green beans. Sat next to the fireplace which was leaking smoke - someone needs to call the chimney sweep! Otherwise, a lovely experience with a friendly ambience (the fire was a real bonus on a November evening) and great service. Recommend.

The atmosphere is great. Friday and/or Saturday nights, there can be acoustic live music playing. The staff is very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. In the summer, you can sit outside to eat. The burgers, wings and nachos are the best. If there you might have a great, friendly bar keep, Shawn, who's the owner. They have plenty of parking.
