I ordered takeout for lunch at work. Order was ready within the 15 minutes promised(took me about that long to get there). I ordered the Public Burger with the grass fed beef, which came with fries. The staff was very friendly and prompt during lunch time on a Friday. The atmosphere seems pretty nice although it was a bit noisy as I had a look around. It certainly draws a crowd. The food didn't disappoint. It was definitely the best burger and fries that I have had in North County even withstanding my small gripe that the burger ended up being a little too juicy and potentially messy. That's actually not a bad gripe to have when you consider the alternatives tend to be dried hockey pucks with no flavor, or even worse, not real beef. It was definitely full of flavor and each ingredient could be tasted. The use of the premium grass-fed beef was evident even though you have to pay a few bucks for the option, do it. The fries were very salty but they were able to get away with that because they were also very well seasoned stuffed with plenty of potato. That's actually how fries should taste. I paid almost $20 which is above average for a burger and fries but I am not disappointed in the quality that I got in return.

Stopped here after spending a few hours at the museum and before seeing Sylvan Esso show. This was a great place to come in and relax. We were a group of 7 and our wait staff was very attentive and brought everything we needed and more. Beer selection is on point, food was phenomenal. We tried the bruschetta flatbread, burgers, brisket tacos, bibimbap was particularly delicious will definitely be back!

This place is awesome! They make everything delicious. The attention to detail is insane. They split the food for us and they even gave us a beer where half of the glass had the sugar glaze and the other half didn't (I didn't want the glaze and my girl did for our 1st beer). Great times!

Some good quality food. Their truffle fries and Mac + cheese are to die for! No matter what we had it was all delicious! Do keep in mind their menu changes.

Restaurant with a pub vibe and very friendly and welcoming staff. The pork belly bites are outstanding as is the macaroni and cheese with a smoked gouda. Great drinks and conversation. Fun spot for dinner and drinks !

We were a party of six, who sat at the bar for food and drink. Service was efficient and friendly, dare we say charming. We had a number of appetizers, sides, main dish, as well as some cocktails, and every single thing was terrific. Some unique flavors, generous portions, and the menu was friendly to some special dietary restrictions in our group (vegetarian and vegan, mainly). Everyone found something they liked. We thoroughly enjoyed this place and will definitely visit again on our next trip to, or through, North Adams.

Really yummy food—flatbread delicious and piping hot, salads a generous size and well dressed and seasoned. The kind of place where you want to try everything but can’t get past the first thing you tried because it’s so good! Service always prompt and friendly despite the fact that they are busy. Perfect cocktails. Great atmosphere and people watching. Note: We’ve been here a few times and they are usually busy and the kitchen is not huge, so expect to wait a little bit for your delicious food. Not a critique but people looking for a quick bite may be disappointed. Consider a reservation for parties of 2 or more.

We came in with no reservation right after they opened at 4pm. No problem with getting seated at that time, but I can imagine that you would need a reservation at peak dinner times! Our table was in an area with local artwork on the walls. Very interesting and fun. Our waiter, Ben, was very informative and helpful and friendly. Our party of four all enjoyed our choices very much, including the interesting beverages. I had a cinnamon brown sugar margarita with sugar on the rim. Mmmm. Delicious. Between us, we also had a couple stout beers, and a cider. The tomato basil soup was fabulous!!! Our mains were also amazing. Falafel, mac and cheese, pork tacos … delicious. We weren’t thoroughly enamored with the ice cream sandwich for desert- we felt the cookie was too hard and it didn’t have a homemade feel to it. In hindsight, the pumpkin cheesecake or the crème brûlée would’ve been a better choice. That being said, I highly recommend this place. And ask for Ben.

The food was delicious!!! I recommend the mac & cheese and shirley temples! My family loved it. There is a good view as well.

French syrah was great, as was wife's Emmas Dilemma cocktail. Fried chickpeas were crispy, delicate, spicy, Delicious. I had the blackened chicken. Little spicy, little sweet. Cheesy polenta, juicy chicken, wow! Wife had pork tacos and hoovered them up. Great atmosphere, attentive service. What every dinner out should be.

Cool place. Not REALLY a gastropub, but an understandable interpretation of one, adjusted for North Adams, Massachusetts. Service is good, soups, salads, and sandwiches are all good. Great option in North Adams.

We had an event of roughly 30 people at Public Eat + Drink and everything was exceptional. The food and drinks were delicious, and the service was impeccable (Thank you to CJ for helping facilitate and organize, and to Ben for his outstanding service!) The atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect for small, informal events, and the menu options were excellent - the burgers and popcorn tofu in particular were big hits! I would highly recommend Public Eat + Drink and will certainly be back there next time I'm in North Adams.
