Almaz Cafe

Up until I found Almaz Cafe going to the city was a requirement for Ethiopian food. No longer! Everything I've had here has been delicious and the owners are very friendly. There are other non-Ethiopian choices, but seriously that is what you should come here for. The actual location is less than inspiring, and the music can be loud (which if asked kindly might be able to be adjusted). Over all though, I will keep going back.

The food was amazing! The owner is a chef, and quite personable. The Tilapia was sautéed, moist and juicy, seasoned to perfection and served on a bed of rice with broccoli. The Mussels were highly recommended, by a friend, and were tender and delicious as well. Also had fried colossal shrimp, also delicious. Reasonably priced, Happy Hour Specials Monday thru Friday 5-7, downtown Norristown, just up from the courthouse. Pleasant crowd at the bar. My first time there, and it has already replaced some of my favorite eateries:-) I will be a regular :-)
