Perkins Family Restaurant

When I was growing up, Perkins was where the young drinkers went for a late- night snack. I'm now 53, and it is my go-to place for a nourishing, economical brunch or early supper. With a clean, modern yet homey interior and people-pleasing waitstaff, the menu boasts indulgent and healthy fare tailored to the individuals' liking. The 'Everything Omlette' is one of my faves with steamed spinach and Swiss. The pumpkin pancakes are fantastical. And the wild berry pie with whipped cream -- what a delight!! Our country has been through a lot, and I'm proud Perkin's was able to renew itself. And actually improve an already famous American treasure.

Until this morning it had been years that I ate at a Perkins. I was very happy w/the overall experience. Staff was extremely attentive, kind and helpful. Food was hot and fresh and tasted good! Plate sizes are small. Though I'm a bigger guy at 240lbs 6"4...maybe that's the problem w the plate sizes. They also have sugar free options and healthier plate options. Will come back again!

We went to Perkins for a quick dinner after a graduation party. There was only 2 tables sitting to dine in. It took over an hour to receive our 4 meals. All of which did not taste very good. One of our meals was a burger and it was very dry and the "toasted" bun was burnt. The pasta dish looked like it sat in the window for 20 minutes before it came out because it was all dry on the top. We didn't even want to send the dishes back to be corrected because of how long they to get in the first place, and it was so close to closing time. We have been going to Perkins for a long time, but I feel like our time is over and we will be moving onto better things.

Food was good but our waitress took our order and had to come back 3 times and redo it.Everything my wife picked was out and when my wife asked for sugar free jelly she said they didn't carry it.The lady at the next table took 5 out of the jelly holder and gave them to us for my wife .Waitress seemed kind of out of it and what was happening but wasn't rude.My wife ordered off the build a breakfast 2 eggs , 2 pieces of bacon and 2 pieces of toast and it was 10.99 plus the coffee. That was a little much and my waffle and 2 pieces of bacon at 11.99 costing over 34.00 dollars plus 15% tip. I think we paid to much for too little of what we got and had to reorder 3 times due to items that ran out. I think we will pass on going to Perkins for a bit as it was a hassle and costly.

We where there 6/24/2022.Our server was great. The breakfast was really good. But we got four blueberry muffins to go. Our server boxed them for us. We didn’t open them till today. They where terrible. They where burned and dry. I even warmed them hopping that would help them and put butter on them. Nothing helped. I got four of them.

It's evident that an attention to detail is a strength within this facility. The service was better than I expected. In fact, our cups were never less than half full and the server was quick to anticipate any need we could have. The only complaint I could manage is that while the food was perfect tasting, the plating needed some work.
