I came only because its the nearest place I can find unfortunately the sarku restaurant in Vernon Hills is closed. The service is really bad, the plates very skimpy and I was waiting for my food for like 30 minutes and they were not even busy they were just in there phones . And by the way they said they close at 6 but if you go at 5 they only offer whatever they have left.

This place should be fined and shut down for FALSE advertising. How in the world you call this abomination Japanese food?!
Old and stale chicken that's overly SALTED and laced with OIL that you end up getting acid reflux immediately.
Wish I could give Zero stars if I could. They're just using the name of Japan to make money.

This is a very clean, easy in and out Sarku location and the food speaks for itself.

This place is very meh, ordered the chicken for around $8 and it felt like they were just focusing on quantity over quality. As I was eating the chicken was pretty taste less and squishy. It's an indication of improper cooking. I would recommend spending 2 more dollars and getting a small steak or chicken burrito dinner from burrito house down Milwaukee Ave towards dempster. MUCH BETTER THAN SARKU!

The food here is delicious, but I found a hair in my meal and went to the cashier and showed her it. All I said is "you guys should be a little more careful" and she started getting defensive saying it part of the cabbage, then oh it is a blonde hair, I'm brunnette with long hair...Not what you want to hear when simply giving them feedback and not once did I ask for my money back... Needs better employees.
