I got their Traditional Gumbo (this is a SMALL PLATE Y’ALL); w/ a side brownie and drink.. Oh my goodness… was my first time trying gumbo since moving from up West… and it was the most amazing thing. Everything you’d hope for in their Traditional Gumbo. Don’t think, just. Come. Here. 😍

Everything is good!! If you're not sure what you'll like, ask for a sample. If you like more than 1, you can get a split plate! The employees are awesome and very knowledgeable about their menu. They're original garlic hot sauce is the best!! My favorite entree is red beans and rice.

Don't let the their silly name dissuade you. They serve large inexpensive portions. The jambalaya is a must. Very friendly workers too. We split a large double plate and still brought leftovers home.

Fantastic gumbo and rotating special dishes. great prices for the portions. Garlic hot sauce is amazing! I miss the second location in Lexington but this one is here to stay!
