It was my first time eating there. The food was good. They make wonderful bread pudding. Worth stopping by and picking up some homemade cinnamon rolls or fresh bread!

Always love the German Buffet on Friday and Saturday. Soup, salad, hot German food and dessert! What's not too love. The chicken borscht soup and green beans and ham soup is so good! I also love the German sausage and sauerkraut.

First time here. I was very impressed with the Sunday buffet! Food was excellent, exceeded my expectations! Would definitely like to return sometime for the German buffet on Friday or Saturday evening.

German food cravings? We get to visit The Breadbasket in Newton KS. They have German buffet on Friday and Saturday from 3-8pm. Great food. Love the German sausage and sauerkraut, verenika etc..

What a wonderful local restaurant! I got the half order of meatloaf with the trimmings and my wife got the soup and salad. Tasted like mom’s cooking! Very busy place across from Metcalf Sisters Antiques and Collectables.

We really enjoyed the evening German buffet. The relishes, salads, meats and breads were fresh and delicious. We also enjoyed our beverages, then coffee and dessert. The only thing lacking was some ambiance. It feels like a mom and pop restaurant, which isn't bad, but an accent color on the walls and a lighting upgrade would really take it up a notch.
