Awesome place to have a quick drink. Our bartender was super friendly and made us a nice drink. They have a table pool games and nice music to vibe in.

Last stop on this trip. Bar tender was cool, the beer was good, and the place was pretty clean. Great place to chill with a drink and chat.

Bar tender was very nice and made a tasty, very pink drink for me which made me stand outs bit but again, it was tasty. Good times.
Beer/Alcohol: a handful of taps, bottle selection and hard alcohol. No food offered at this bar.
Final thoughts: The Beach Ball is right on the beach, literally. There are two large window fronts where you can take a seat and stare out into the Pacific Blue Ocean. Couple of pool tables and plenty of seating. Not your uppity crowd, down to earth hole in the wall type people, good people. You can catch a drink here and enjoy all the sights and sounds within a 1-minute walking distance.
My wife and I stumbled across this place.. and we definitely had the best time.. scooter welcomed us in as if we were regulars serving the best drinks 🍹 we'll be definitely be coming back..
I worked at The Beach Ball in 1978 and it hasn't changed too much! They replaced the Stage and Bleachers downstairs to popular Pool Tables.
Best seats in the house are the Barstools along the Large Picture Windows facing the active Newport Beach Pier's Boardwalk and Parking lot.
I'm originally from Newport Beach and it's very nice to go back to a place that's been there all my life and I recommend going there at 6:30 in the morning and having a cocktail before you have a day at the beach it will make it a chill day for you feels like you're in a wooden ship looking at at the beach while having a cocktail 🍹
Stopped in while in town for a beer or two on 02/06. Cool and friendly little dive bar on the beach. Early in the week so it was quiet. Looks like it would pick up and be a blast on the weekends. Definitely will stop back in next time I'm in town!
Great view of the beach. We visited in the middle of the day on a Monday before leaving California. That is the time to go! We had the place to ourselves. The bartender was friendly, the drinks were delicious, and having a beach/ocean view is just an added bonus. We purchased new shirts and will definitely be returning to the Beach Ball!
This place used rock crazy in late 70s & 80s with "Stan Orlow -the king of Perversion"! Loved that guy! Great voice,funny as hell!! and Bob Gully too (I believe) mucho fun and atmospheric!
This was my favorite place when I lived down the street. Great bartenders, neat atmosphere. If you stand down by the pool tables, and look up towards the bar, it reminds me of a ship. I also like sitting by the front windows, and looking down on the peasants as they shuffle by.
