BEST PIZZA AROUND!!! They use a sweet sauce that is light and VERY tasty. Thinner style slices that are filling! I absolutely love this place. I've been coming since I was a kid. Only reason for the low score on the atmosphere is because they painted over all the cool artwork that made it a landmark! Reminds me of a bomb New York style slice! Definitely a must try when in balboa.

So check it out this is one of my go to places for pizza. When it comes to pizza I like a New York style pizza not a Chicago style pizza.
Not much flop!
The crust is really good but I wish the undercarriage had a little more crunch. However, with that being said I eat the entire piece of pizza including the crust, it's that good.
The sauce is great, I don't know what it is but the sauce is just awesome and what's funny is that I was in Chattanooga, TN recently and I got some pizza and I swear their sauce recipe was exactly the same as Pizza Pete's. I will write them a review as well. I can't remember the name of the place but I think it's called pizza Bros! Anyway, I talked to both owners and neither one of them has ever heard of the other, they both have a great sauce!
The cheese is good, between the cheese and the pepperoni there's a lot of grease. I don't know what it is but I like it. However, I can nit lie, I have found myself along with my family and friends using a napkin and dabbing up some of the grease but still, I like it.
The overall taste of this pizza is my favorite, would I buy it again absolutely yes, I absolutely will be back!
Truth be told I have been coming here for 40 years, this again is my go to pizza place. They sell their pizza by the slice and of course by the pie. I love this place, my wife and kids love this place, if you have not been here I highly recommend you pay this place to visit.
I'm giving this place FIVE STARS all the way and I will tell you that every pizza place I go to is either better than Pizza Pete's or it's not as good as Pizza Pete's!!

For the record, if the crust had a little bit more crunch to it and maybe if there was a little less grease I would of scored this place as an 8.5 on the ONE BITE APP!!

Top quality pizza are served here. You can have just few slices of pizza if you want or you can order one complete pizza (which may be too much).Apart from Pizza,you will get interesting combination of ice cream here. But what I most liked here was root beer. It was just amazing. Very tasty root beer.
I had absolutely amazing service and food quality today. I had the two slice of pizza combo deal, about $10.75, I believe. Service was amazing and these slices were both not just great, but unbelievably good. I have had your hot dog in prior years, but I was not familiar with your pizza until today. When I visit Balboa next week again, you can guarantee I'll give you a visit again. Thank you!

We went here for a quick slice of pizza for us and ice cream for the kids. We had one slice each, and decided we needed more! Pizza was delicious, kids loved the ice cream, it's a great small spot to hop in, grab a bite to eat, and rest for a while. Very good place!
Pizza is always good and fresh. Inside has been remodeled since last time I was here but the food is still really good.
Genuinely the best soft serve ice cream I have had in my entire life! So good and the people were nice :)
I was kinda hungry as we were getting ready to board. I immediately spotted Pizza by the slice, ventured in for pepperoni and a soda. Big slice of pizza for a fair amount of dollars, definitely a good stop for a quick bite.
Stopped in for some lunch, the food was great and the staff was very nice! The pizza special was a great choice!
