Had an awesome time the beers on tap were on point and the food was amazing... Our server was super sweet and the people were very friendly
Food was amazing, our waiter was awesome recommend the food and drinks . The only down part was we had to pick up our own food and the check so we felt neglected. But like I said food and drinks are amazing.
When I was looking for some happy hour specials in the area, I found this place on google reviews. And it certainly did not disspipoint
The beer was pretty standard. $4 for a Coors lite, if a remember correctly. So not a ridiculously good deal, but still quite good, especially for being in Newport Beach, which is a somewhat of an upscale area.
The half off appitizers are what really set this place apart from some of the other places I've been to. I ordered the short rib nachos and they were very filling and quite tasty as well. What really impressed me is that they did not skimp you on the meat. There was a good distribution of all of the ingredients.
It is also the oldest bar in Newport Beach, at least that's what they claim.
Overall, this place is well worth the visit, especially if you visit during happy hour like I did.
My favorite place in Newport Beach....staff is super cool, friendly and outgoing. Food is great.
Such a combination of past and current. Wall of wonderfully kept momentos and pictures of the old days and still a fabulous atmosphere for the current crowd. Service was fantastic. We didn't eat but the pizzas looked scrumptious
Stag bar has a great selection of cocktails and beers. The environment is fun with a cool patio upstairs overlooking part of the beach. There is live music several nights a week which is a plus. I came for bar appetizers and drinks on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't too busy so the food and drinks were served up quick. The fries and mozzarella sticks are very tasty but the chicken tenders can be avoided as they don't taste like anything special and aren't really worth the money.

Location:Good(close to pier), Food:Good, Service:Good, Covid practices: in place, Outdoor dining:yes, Overall Enjoyed the Garlic fries and Meat Coma pizza. Margaritas:Good(no blend though) I will come back again....
Fun spot, nice drink selection, staff are nice. I did not order food so I can’t speak to that. Worth checking out for the memorabilia and decor.
Steven is excellent. Attentive and courteous. The group loved the digital jukebox and pool table for entertainment. Somehow we always end up there for half off pizzas!!
We love coming to Stag! We had Valerie help us on a busy Saturday night and she is the BEST. She was so friendly and sweet to us and has amazing customer service. Love!
This is perfect for people that love a good time around other free spirits. There is apparently a juke box too! I wasn't a complete fan of my pizza, but I'd give it a 8/10, good crust! The customer service was quick and we found a table easily, it was just hilarious having this random drunk couple make out next to me in the shared side of the both no shame lmao. So maybe not the most covid friendly, but it's a public bar that was near a random sticker saying COVID is a hoax lmao. You should know what you sign up for lol.
Seems like I see more fights at this bar than any other bar. Which I think says something about the pour. And if you're honest with yourself think you'd say the same. That's the way I see it anyway That's a way I've always seen it That's what it's like living in America as a black indigenous person of talent
