The bar is Next to the beach located. So easy and convenient to find in Newport pier parking. Price communication is very strong and maybe too much. But cocktails are two for one in Happy hour, that's their main message.
Knock em down to 7 to 8 dollar to drink within happy hour, which is not too bad for the quality you receive. Food was good, but not spectacular.

Honestly our go to spot when it’s time to get away from the city. This beach front Catina is really good. The food is great, the drinks are great, especially the mega margaritas. They are not cheap with the alcohol that’s forsure. Sandra was a great waitress and very attentive, always made sure we were hydrated lol. I recommend this place for sure. I was reading some of these comments and after coming here 2 years it’s been the same. No where near racist and far from being rude. Give it a shot

This place was amazing! The service was absolutely incredible! The waitress had such good energy, very upbeat, social, and friendly. The atmosphere was already really great, but she made the atmosphere even more amazing! I believe her name is Courtney according to the receipt. She should be promoted! Cabo is very lucky to have her! The food was incredible, very delicious and the DRINKS were bombbbbb! Love their super large margaritas and they have a lot of fun flavors to choose from! Great prices! If I was a local I would visit this spot all frequently!

Always love the giant margaritas, my favorite is the Coco Loco. The surf & turf tacos were gigantic and the streak fries are delicious.

We came here a few times, and enjoyed every time. Most delicious and biggest margaritas and tacos! also their loaded fries are yum! This is definitely where the party is at and everyone is super chill! View from the window is amazing and if you like to people watch, you will have great time!
We ride our bikes here, and able to park the bikes right outside. Which is nice, so we can keep an eye on our items.

Good food, and great spot to watch sports. The day we went, there was a fight going on and little did we know about it, and they were charging a cover to go into the bar. However, because we were not looking for a spot to watch the fight but just eat and head out, the boss was nice enough to let us in without the cover pay. They were very nice about it. I was from out of town, and would recommend to head here after a day at the beach.

Want a fantastic gem, right on the ocean. The food is yummy, but the service is beyond. Everyone that works there is so friendly. They are professionals is a casual beach setting. It's nice to see that they care.

Beachfront cantina with good happy hour daily featuring 2 in 1 cocktails. The nachos with melted cheese is my fav here. The burritos are humongus. Atmosphere is casual so just get loaded and go hit the beach.

Excellent food and service. The view is phenomenal and would go back here time and again if I lived here! When you choose to have tacos you can mix and match the kinds you have, which I loved! Had the surf and turf and the steak and shrimp were both cooked perfectly!

Went here twice on vacation, for their tacos and margaritas (which they will make to-go), 2 for 1 during happy hour and including March Madness games. Service time between orders and food arriving is FAST. You can tell they are accustomed to volume business. We watched the Razorbacks take on NM State, Gonzaga and Memphis, and St Peters against Murray State all at the same time on their many TVs. Can get crowded but after 7 the place was empty! I appreciated their windows being open to the park and beach, but the bathroom situation is an issue. Lines, small cramped space seems like it was an after thought based on the size of the restaurant. The mens room doesn't have a stall door, and the single urinal is 5" from the sink with no divider.

We came for the happy hour drink specials. Let me say that they did not disappoint at all.
Our group had the Margaritas, and they were delicious and had the right amount of Patron silver in them.
The only not so good thing was the salsa they give you when you sit down. It tasted like water and spices. It had no heat to it at all. But the chips were delicious.

Definitely recommend the Sunset rolls little tasty fun dish. My gf had the taquitos and they did not disappoint. We both ordered margaritas and we were a bit let down. They could've been a little better felt like they were lacking in flavor. The flavor wasn't so strong nor the alcohol it was right in the middle just meh. Would definitely go back to try again tho!

Went whale watching with the family and decided to stop in to Cabo Cantina because we were craving some good Mexican food and the hostess at the curb said they had great food. This was your typical bar and grill type setting. Small inside, Very busy, very loud music and crowd, a lot of people just hanging out drinking. We got the nachos for an appetizer and that was good, but the rest of food was ok. I ordered fajitas, the meat was kind of chewy and over cooked. The service was not good! We had to ask for things multiple times and from multiple people. There were a couple times we had to get up from our seats and track down our waitress to ask for things. At one point when we were getting ready to leave we asked for bags for our leftovers from our waitress, she forgot so we asked another waitress, she said she’d get them, but that one ended up leaving out the front door for a while with her boyfriend and never brought the bags. My husband had to go get our bags himself!! Not impressed. If your looking for somewhere to drink with loud music and a lot of people than this is for you!!!!

We were visiting from Las Vegas. Have to say the food was really good. Came out in a timely manner and was hot. Beer was good as it should be. Our waitress with blonde hair shaved on the side was super kool and friendly. This was on a Monday night. We would eat there again recommend it to our friends.

I always stop in when in Newport Beach, however I didn't realize they allowed dogs inside the restaurant. Definitely a health code violation and I will not return.

The place was too loud. Waitress screwed up our order.. Never checked on us. my daughter couldn't even sit back down in her spot and finish her lunch because someone sat down behind and blocked her. The food was gross so it didn't matter.. Brought it back to the animals.. Never again!

Not Handicap accessible At all. Security gaurd is standoffish and confrontational. You need to educate your security guards on Americans with Disabilities Act. Not a good Restaurant its more like a club Atmosphere. Once I got past the security guards harassment to find a seat on own there no good Handicap accessible area to sit, nor was I Assisted by anyone to find one, music was loud and obnoxious Rap. So I left with a terrible impeession of your business and you Treat Disabled Veterans. Not a good placd at all to get a meal.

Great restaurant and bar. Amazing margaritas and cold cervezas. We had many food dishes all excellent. Fun atmosphere a must if you are in the Balboa pier district. Great place!!!

First off- your drink menu misleads people to think happy hour includes the giant margaritas (might I add-very weak and tastes like strawberry jam with ice). Also, it does not write holidays like Memorial Day are not included. You should disclose that from the beginning. The regular size margaritas we thought were 2 for 1 and you did not once tell us the promo was not available today and you can’t get two different flavor margaritas with the promotion apparent - and that is not written ANYWHERE and was not told.
Second, the waitresss assured our friend with celiac disease would be fine eating her food. She is now very ill and hospitalized - you ruined her vacation because of your false hope that she would be totally okay. Please don’t go here. They just want your money. Food was nothing special at all. 😔
