First thing I noticed here was how nice the inside of the restaurant is. Our server was super friendly and was very attentive. I ordered the gold medal chicken and thought I had made a mistake with not ordering the fried chicken but I was really impressed by how good this chicken sandwich was. The bun itself was impressive and the marinade for the chicken was extremely flavorful. The french fries here are more like fried potato wedges and they came out perfect. The other member of my party ordered the kale salad with chicken and thought it was very good as well. I'd definitely come back here to try the rest of the menu.
Excellent atmosphere beautifully crafted with designed settings that are unique. Coming Saturday afternoon brunch was being served, a bit unexpected but it was still delicious. The overnight oats and tater tot’s were great. The food is simple but good. I would have liked to have lunch options at 1pm.
We have been to Bosscat Kitchen multiple times and all experiences have always been great, but last night was the first time we booked out their private room with a Whiskey Tasting Expert for a group of 9 ladies.
I cannot recommend booking this private room AND hiring a whiskey expert enough. Moses was so knowledgeable and we not only learned a good deal of information, but we were also inspired to learn more and explore. I'm now dreaming of taking a trip to Tennessee inspired by Bosscat. Our waitress was also lovely and juggled her regular tables and our group perfectly, she was wonderful to work with and accommodating.
Book the room.
Book an expert.
Book a whiskey flight.
DRINK MORE WHISKEY!
Nice spot with unique, but comforting American menu. The Cajun chicken was nice, definitely not too spicy and the fries/wedges were thick yet had a nice crispy skin.
Covered outdoor seating and indoor seating available. Indoors was full and had a loud/lively vibe. The staff were all very friendly and the food came out quickly.
Clean bathrooms, paid parking garage.
Looking forward to trying the burger next time.
I love the shrimp grit. I also enjoyed the lightings inside the restaurant. This place is popular on the weekends.I hope they would also have the special magic show as the other location. I will definitely come back to this place and bring more friends gathering/celebrating here.
Bosscat Kitchen & Libation is a casual and comfortable restaurant in downtown Orange. Someone did put in a lot of thoughts on interior design. The passion was noticeable. I had lunch there on a Tuesday. The hostess had a very nice smile. The waitress was friendly and attentive. She patiently highlighted some popular items on the menu. The Pig Candy was surprisingly good. The marriage of sweet crispy pork belly and spicy Kimchi was creative and well balanced. The kale salad was fair. The 12-hour short rib was moist and tasted satisfactory. I will certainly go back to try more of their dishes and beers.
Ambiance: We came on the tail end of brunch, but it was a decent amount of seating. We opted for the bar since it was nice out. Open concept the bar is both inside and on the patio. Music wasn't loud, quiet enough for convo but loud enough to fill in the silence.
Service: We didn't have to wait to be seated (we had reservations). Our server was really nice, took our order quick so we didn't miss the brunch menu, suggested great drinks and when we didn't like one of the drinks they replaced it without us having to ask. They were amazing!
Food: If you get nothing else, try the short Rib chilaquiles! I typically love chilaquiles, but I don't usually get them with meat, so these were different for me, and I'm obsessed! The fruity pebbles were really good as well. I could've used a bit more sauce, but that was my personal preference. Drinks were also refreshing and strong.
very nice location, probably headache if driving/parking but i walked here since my hotel was nearby (Hilton).
This is very nicely arranged restaurant, outside there is a huge projector type TV outside.
i ordered steak with potatoe. Steak was 10oz, tasted pretty good, it came with a baked potato and cheese/jalapeño mixed on-top, i wasn't roo impressed with potato topping and scraped it off... this restaurant does not offer a side salad and if you want salad have to get large portion thats like $18 or more, i did get side of bread but that was 6 small bread rolls and a butter (for $11) that was "ok"... but not too impressive
this location has big bar so alcoholic beverages are available, i only had soda (Coke).
price, for steak plate it was $36, plate of bread $11, soda $6... so total was $54.96 before tip, a bit overpriced but for this location its not unusual
at end food was good, but next time i will order fish, they have "white fish" ($30) and salmon ($35)
waiters here expect high tips as i overhead two waiters complaining someone didn't leave lage tip, waitress that was serving my table was not a happy one or maybe she realized by how i was dressed up that i wasn't a high spender... or maybe she was just tired and wanted to leave.
We had dinner and drinks here. I enjoyed the Portabella quinoa burger, which was amazing. Had a great sauce and patty was cooked well and not soggy My husband had The Boss Burger the chef's way and my son had Chicken Sandwich which were both delicious.
The drinks were good and not too sweet. We had the Pineapple Sage Elixir and The Good Life.
Enjoyed the lunch and atmosphere here. Great service. Lunch veg menu was great as well
