Steak 'n Shake

I had not had a burger in quite a while so I decided to get Steak'nShake as I also wanted a chocolate milkshake. I was a bit disappointed in the burger. I ordered the double burger with the caramelized onions. I asked for crisp bacon and extra pickles and onions. I got a burger without the extra crisp bacon,without extra pickles. I was wondering why my bill was $15.37. When I got home and opened the bag,I had my fries and onion rings,one double burger and one single burger and my milkshake . Both burgers looked like they had been sitting in a bin for some time. They just threw some onions on . Needless to say I was not satisfied. I gave this rating 3 stars because the shake was perfect and so were the fries.

Terrible. We thought that we would enjoy our meal at steak 'n shake since it had been so long since we ate there. We wanted to go there remembering our old times that we had there but it was a terrible experience for us all. We all stated that we would never come to this establishment again. We had to wait in the Drive-Thru for about 15 minutes. We could have went to McDonald's and got a heck of a lot quicker service and better service at McDonald's. The cashier appeared to have an attitude and not know the menu. We will never eat at this Steak 'n Shake again.

Want a good old fashioned hamburger and fries? You can't do much better than this place. My only criticism is the pricing for the side orders of bacon - it's a dollar for each piece and they're pretty small, thin pieces. My son eats 6 pieces as part of his breakfast and his costs more than my wife and I combined. We'll still come back but maybe take a look at the food cost on your bacon?
