Friendly's

We went in to eat last night. The food was terrible and we could not even tell the waitress, because she disappeared and we never saw her. We never received silverware. By the time she showed up some time later, the food which was already bad, was ice cold, still no silverware. When she asked how it was we gestured to the plates, since we ate very little, and we told her it was terrible and no silverware. She apologized and got the bill. We paid and left. Will not be back. This was the third try at this Newington location. Waste of time and money.

Got here to dine in @ 830pm on Friday oct8,21 online it says close at 10pm. So i order from outside and go in at 925 and my order was apparently giving away with my name on it . So I'm waiting on my food by 10pm . Came back in at 9:55 pm my order wasn't recorded 3rd time still waiting . Another young lady was patient gave us coupons and sincerely apologized, However some of the other staff there has no stability or professionalism , staff hung out with family ran around the dining area . Girls were huddling to have social groups in the kitchen. These kids should be trained for better skills before hire .

This location Friendly’s management is rude, insulting, lacks ethical decision making in terms of dealing with customers. My order was brought to me wrong twice (2), and yet I was charged for it, for food I didn’t eat at all. The manager became very confrontational when inquired about the bill. My food was cold, and sloppy made. When asked “why was my good cold for the 2nd time around” her response was “It was a different cook for the day.” then I demanded to be taken off my bill cause I didn’t want it. She still wanted me to oat for it. People, nowadays customer service, the lack there of is still being blamed on “Covid-19” we’re nearly 3 years into this and the businesses that provide horrible service blames it on this instead of taking the blame and provide better customer service.

If I could rate a zero I would. The waitress barely made an effort. The silverware was half hazzardly tossed on the table in one napkin. Barely saw our waitress. Food was cold, ice cream melted. Server was kind and changed out one of the kids ice creams. Didn't get a refill on my drink, server couldn't answer what the Birthday reward was (and yes we were there for a birthday dinner), said she would ask and didn't her again till she dropped the bill off. My friend tried to order dinner and a sundae to go for her husband who wasnt able to make it. We had to go to the ice cream order line as our waitress disappeared yet again, and were told the kitchen was shut down but ice cream could be done. We walked out after (Best part, waitress was right there and made a rude face at us, to include eye roll.) This was about 9pm (we had been there since 730 with the service we had.) I think there was only 1 waitress on as I didn't see any others. And I got charged for the ice cream though a free one was supposed to come when you ordered a meal, or upcharge if you get a medium size like the used to? We weren't even offered, Just paid full prices. I looked forward to going to Friendly's as I haven't been in 3 yrs. NEVER AGAIN AT THIS LOCATION!

Not to sound corny, but the place was not very “friendly” at all. The host had the most miserable look on his face as soon as we walked in and gave us such attitude. Told us it was a 10 minute wait which we didn’t mind waiting, even though half the booths were empty, but as soon as we turned around we realized there were 4 other groups waiting and it was going to be much longer than that. While we waited we heard the people working the takeout counter be rude to numerous other customers, including some little kids who wanted change for the claw machine. After 20 minutes we ended up leaving.

Friend brought her service dog into the establishment and was barked at and growled at by a pet in the restaurant who distracted the service dog and my friend PASSED OUT because of this. The owners of the pet were not kicked out despite their dog putting someones health in jeopardy. Learn about service animals versus pets please and thank you. They need to be able to do their jobs and with pets like this being allowed in, they arent able to focus and do their jobs as they should.
