I usually order a meatball sub whenever I come here but from a friend's recommendation, I came in wanting pasta. Despite some initial hiccups for my order, the staff worked hard to right the wrong. Eventually, I came out with pasta I wanted in hand. And you know what? It was worth the wait. I'm surprised they don't list the pasta toppings on the menu but just listed on a board but the toppings made a world of difference to my pasta. I haven't known I could there were two other types of cheeses they serve and let alone, I could have as much cheese I want. Really... try their pasta and pick whatever toppings you like.

We met our son for lunch at Meatball Obsession. It is a small location near the Universities. The service was excellent and the food was great. We had beef meatballs on spaghetti, beef meatballs with penni pasta and a chicken parmesan sub. The pastas have additional ingrediants that you can choose that were very tasty like, mushrooms, onion, zucchini, peppers and others. All of the dishes were well prepared, hot and delicious. They have friendly service and do a great job. I would highly recommend. For an additional $1.34 you can buy a meal for one of the shelters. We bought 3. Very nice outreach by the owner.

I want to qualify my two star review. I think the employees are very friendly and the restaurant looks very nice. It is very creative and I think has a future. But... I asked for the veggie balls. I don't eat red meat and when I saw they had a veggie option, I figured I would try it. Big mistake. They are using a veggie ball made from black beans, and although it is not a bad taste, it is not the right fit for an italian style dish. It would go great with a south western or mexican dish, but not what they are selling. I would hope that if they want to continue with the veggie option, that they choose a product that more mimics meat.

I was supposed to go to a burger place when this place on the corner of Halsey and Bleecker caught my attention, Meatball Obsession Plus. I went in and was pleasantly greeted by a very fine lady, I told her it was my first time and she guided me through the menu and how to order. I got a double which is 2 meatballs, spaghetti for pasta, some vegetables for topping and some cheese. The owner, Paul introduced himself to me, he was very gracious and grateful for trying something from the menu. Although I want my pasta really al dente, theirs was tender to the bite but it was not soggy nor soft. Everything was made to complement each other, taste and texture. Meatballs was moist and soft, chunky vegetables crisp and tender and a spicy kick to the sauce.

Neat place... Exactly what it says. Meatballs were excellent and the entire menu is priced right. Would have given 5 stars except the ordering is a bit chaotic.. I know they are a new spot, and it was the lunch rush, so I'm sure they will work out the kinks. Good luck... Nice to have downtown!

I ate here one time. The food was delicious. The veggie pasta was great. However I was sick to my stomach all day after eating the food and I also saw a hair in my pasta. It was disappointing because the food was good.

Everything about Meatball Obsession was great!!! From the minute I walked through the door, until I left....i had a great experience!!! I want to give a big thank you to Mr.Ceo "meatball Paul" lol....I commend you for such a great company and tasteful food!!! I ordered the spaghetti with beef meatballs....the sauce was very flavorful and the seasoning for the meatballs was through and through. Every bite had flavor and the noodles were perfectly al dente!!! I will be back this week to order more flavors!!! You will be referred out to friends and family!!!

A casual restaurant sporting old-world recipes at a historic storefront.
Meatball Obsession opened their initial Greenwich Village location back in 2012. The eatery uses Mancini family recipes and slow-cooks their meatballs, serving them in what they dub “Sunday Sauce.” The cuisine is catered to people who are on the go, being served in a cup with dipping bread or stuffed in a custom-made Italian pocket bread.
The star of Meatball Obsession is obvious, and the restaurant features beef, turkey, and pork versions of the Italian staple. Toppings for their meatballs include various pastas, veggies, and cheeses, and cannolis for dessert round out the menu.
