Favorite spot in NYC for a pint, friendly bartenders and a great crowd!
Great little place with excellent service. Barry the bar tender was on top of his game, the mostly Irish music playing was fantastic and the beer was iced cold. What more can you ask for?
The best local pub in New York....?
I had the good fortune of living 5 blocks away from Trinity pub... I've no idea how I originally stumbled across it, however I loved it like a long lost billionaire twin. It's the same size as your guest bedroom, however it's an experience even if it's empty (in which case you'll get the full attentions of one of the extremely charming non plastic Paddie bar tenders)... or it's if it's full it pulsates like Studio 54's pet Irish Leprechaun.
I took a friend to NYC 2 years after I'd moved away, and I pointed out Trinity from the other side of the street... I didn't necessarily want to go in as I was worried it wasn't going to be as good as I remembered it. After about 10 seconds, one of the bar tenders rushed out. "Richard, it's been too long. There's a pint of Harp here on the bar for you. Stop standing out there in the cold like an eejut."
Enough said.
This is a great little Irish bar with friendly bartenders. Unfortunately there's no bar food, but they're happy to give you the take out menus and let you order whatever you want.
