Very good Chinese food. The lobster was excellent! If you have the opportunity to see the chef make hand made noodles it is impressive. A great night out.

Enter Mr Chow, Tribeca and you are struck by the conspicuous, monochromatic interiors where walls are adorned with enormous black and whites of a much younger Mr. Chow. The interiors are dramatic and very cool. Everything about the place feels crisp from the gorgeous white orchid, lit table settings to the immaculately suited waiters who serve you flawlessly.
When Mr Chow opened up in the United States in the late 70’s, his concept was brilliant. He blended eastern food with the western palate and made it very chic. The dishes at Mr. Chow’s are very placid. There’s nothing bold or radical on the menu. The food served here is very “easy” on the palate and really reminds me of Chinese food in Japan. Everything is flavorful and pleasant. The food itself is styled on “Beijing Cuisine” which influenced Chinese imperial and aristocratic cuisine.
If you are looking for “authentic’ Chinese food then Chinatown is not too far away for one-tenth the price! However, I think that Mr. Chow’s is worth going to at least once – its just one of those New York places, that has to be experienced.

Mr. Chow is one of those New York institutions that you must visit at least once to say they did it. I finally visited Mr. Chow last week during summer 2015 Restaurant week. Mr. Chow is a good option for groups who want to experience restaurant week, because the food at Mr. Chow is served share style, your group will get to try different items on the menu for only $38.

We loved the whole experience! Service & food was outstanding. Pricey but worth it.
It's definitely not LA. The servers are not LA quality, but our party of four liked it for the most part. Black cod & crispy duck were excellent. Mango chicken don't bother uless you want to taste just citrus. We did sit outside on a beautiful NYC night, which made it great. Bottom line...if you want to say you've gone to Mr. Chow's go, but there are better places...like Phillippe Chow's restaurants...much cleaner style of Chinese food.

For a Restaurant Week dining option, this was a fabulous pick! The prices here tend to be very high (especially for Chinese food), and for the amount and quality of food that we were given at a trendy Tribeca restaurant for only $38 this is an unheard of deal in the city.

Over all Mr. Chow was a great experience. From the stellar decor and food to the fantastic service who helped assure my meal was peanut/nut/lentil free, its a restaurant that shouldn't be missed!
