The owner Steve and his beautiful wife are the greatest host and hostess. He named the place after his former teammate on the FDNY basketball team, Mike Fiore, who died a hero saving the lives of many on 9/11. He traveled throughout Italy trying to discover the best recipe to make delicious Pizza and believe me he found it. He went throughout the city of Buffalo to find the best recipe for chicken wings and found that too. He uses the finest ingredients. If you're looking for ambiance and high prices, this is not your place but if you want incredible Pizza and fantastic wings and friendly owners and employees, this is your place!!!
I definetely live for “pizza in teglia” which, for you is sliced pizza. Well, this is the only place, in NY that is honarably trustable. Bravi. If you are good for a Roman guy... you are a serious “pizzeria in teglia”. Hope to visit again, soon
Staten style Pizza not bad and slightly more salty tomato base.Really worth a shot . It is a tiny little spot so seating can be a problem at busy times.
Great Cheap Eat. We went here on a Pizza tour of Manhattan and were not disappointed. If you are looking for your classic New York City pizza, then this is the place to go.
It also has a lovely story behind it's name.
Highly recommend.
Old School - New Place. Here is a spot that really sticks to tradition. The thin crispy crust maintains a great crunch under a thicker slightly sweet sauce. The end crust has a very tight crumb and doesn't noticeably rise above the rest of the pie. Great new addition to the village.
