Babu Ji

Love this place! I’ve been here for restaurant week on three different occasions and every time it’s amazing! This year, the main course is a tasting which was SO delicious! Plus it was a treat to get to try so many dishes. Definitely get the cauliflower appetizer, it’s amazing. Mango ice cream is also very good - rich and creamy.

I went for restaurant week with my friend and it was a lovely time. The design of the restaurant is gorgeous and makes me feel like I'm sitting in a cute tea garden. The staff was really friendly and patient with us, especially helpful with spelling and pronunciation of their delicious food. They were very attentive and make sure that we were comfortable and what each dish consisted of. Food was incredibly delicious, everything was cooked perfectly. The tandoori chicken was very moist and flavorful. The unauthentic butter chicken was my favorite, though I'm still not quite sure what makes it unauthentic. But still very fun menu overall.

Went for dinnee to Babu ji on a Saturday night. We made reservations and got seated after 20 mins even though we made reservations via open table. Our server got us water and menus and we placed orders for lamb kababs for starters followed by butter chicken and shrimp curry. We added bread basket and rice as well. Kababs were delicious and so were the curries. They were perfectly spiced and went well with the fluffy naans and basmati rice. I took off one star for the service. We got seated late and the waiter did not show up to ask for water at any point in the meal. After we finished eating we had to really wave our hands to get their attention. With delicious curries we all need to be topped up with water too. Overall excellent food but do not expect top class service. Hopefully they will read this and work on improving this. Edit: The restaurant manager called me and my friend back for a second dinner and oh boy, they did everything perfectly. Service was top class - they were very attentive, offered suggestions and topped our water several times. We tried few things that were new and every dish was bursting with flavors. I am so glad they invited us again for a second chance and I highly recommend trying this place out. You will not be disappointed.

Visited this place over the holidays and still remember all the beautiful flavours! Amazing decor, friendly and helpful staff and great flavours. Food isn’t too heavy with a right amount of spice. Our experience was very good and we’d be happy to be back any time soon. Definitely a place for any Indian food lovers.
